むかし、むかし、海の底に竜王とお后がりっぱな御殿をこしらえて住すんでいました。

ある時、竜王のお妃が病気になってしまい、どんな医者に見せても、どんな薬を飲ませても、病状は一向に良くなりません。

竜王は心配して、みなに「どうしたものだろうか」と相談しましたが、誰もわかりません。

その時、タコが進み出て、「猿の生肝が効き目があるそうです」と申しました。

猿ヶ島に猿の生き肝を取りに誰か行かねばなりません。すると鯛が「くらげは四本脚で地上を歩けますから」と言いました。

そうして、くらげは猿ヶ島まで、猿を攫いに行きました。

Once upon a time, at the bottom of the sea, a dragon king and his queen built a magnificent palace and lived there.

One day, the Dragon King's queen fell ill, and no matter what kind of doctor she saw or what kind of medicine she was given, her condition did not improve at all.

The Dragon King was worried and asked everyone for advice, but no one knew what to do.

At that time, an octopus came forward and said, "I heard that monkey liver is effective.

Someone must go to Sarugashima to get a monkey's liver. Then Tai said, "Jellyfish can walk on the ground with four legs.

And so the jellyfish went to Sarugashima to kidnap the monkey.
