野尻湖の別荘地に、ペットという名の雑種犬を飼っていたアメリカ人の家族がいた。

戦争が始まり、家族はアメリカへ帰り、犬は近所の荒物屋に預けられた。

しかし、犬は荒物屋を抜け出し、野尻湖の別荘地で野良犬のような暮らしをした。

There was an American family who kept a mongrel dog named Pet in their villa at Lake Nojiri.

When the war broke out, the family went back to the U.S. and the dog was left in the care of a nearby rough goods store.

However, the dog escaped from the store and lived like a stray dog in the villa area of Lake Nojiri.
