昔々、あるところに貧乏な小作人の夫婦がありました。

夫婦は老いても、子供がないので働かねばなりません。

水神様に「どんな子でもかまいません。たにしの子でもいいから、お恵みください」と頼みました。

ある日のこと、急におかみさんは産気づき、生まれたのは、コロコロと小さなたにしの子でした。

They asked the water god, "Any child will do. Please bless us with a child, even a tanishi child.

One day, the wife suddenly gave birth, and what was born was a small, colicky tanishi child.
