平安の頃、田原藤太という武士が、夜の橋を渡ろうとすると、橋の真ん中に長さ120メートルもあろうかという大蛇がとぐろを巻いていた。

しかし、藤太は気にせず、大蛇を踏みつけにして、堂々と向こうへと歩いていった。

すると、藤太を呼び止める声がして、振り返ると、そこには青い服を着た小男が座って礼をしていた。

「私は、この湖に住む龍王です。三上山に大きなムカデが住み着いて困っております。どうか、お助けください」

During the Heian period (794-1185), a samurai named Tahara Toda was about to cross a bridge at night when he saw a giant snake, perhaps 120 meters long, coiled in the middle of the bridge.

But Tawara did not care. He stepped on the serpent and walked majestically to the other side of the bridge.

He turned to see a small man in blue sitting on the ground and bowing to him.

'I am the Dragon King who lives in this lake. A large centipede has taken up residence on Mount Mikami, and I am in trouble. Please help me."
