昔々、中国の山東省に許という漁師がおりました。

許は酒好きで、毎晩、川へ出て網を打ちながら酒を飲んでいました。

許の酒の飲み方は変わっていて、まず盃に一杯やってから、次に地面へ酒を垂らし、「まあ、お飲みなさいよ」と言うのです。

長い間、漁師をやってきた許には、川で死んでしまった友達がたくさんいたのです。

地面へ垂らしたお酒は、友達への捧げ物だったのです。

Once upon a time, there was a fisherman named Xu in Shandong Province, China.

Xu loved to drink, and every night he would go out to the river to drink while casting nets.

Xu had an unusual way of drinking. He would first fill a cup with wine, then pour some on the ground and say, "Well, drink up.

He would then drop his drink on the ground and say, "Well, drink it." Having been a fisherman for a long time, Hsu had many friends who had died in the river.

The sake he dripped on the ground was an offering to his friends.
