Shania Twain's Inspiration?

There is a LOT to like about this book with its delightful plot, smooth narration with great voices (did I mention I listened to the audiobook?) and a sweet HEA. But despite her provocations, I had some severe qualms at the start about the bride's actions which made her "wanted" (you'll understand when you read it but SPOILER if I told you now!); and later some of the standing on ceremony by the hero didn't quite jibe with the character previously depicted. And then there is Big Daddy . . . The story is populated with a delightful cast, beautifully situated (always go someplace beautiful!), and overall very well told.

Wanted can have different meanings.

Christmas story

This is A Santa for Christmas by Carra Copelin, narrated by Meghan Kelly. Series: Texas Christmas Series, Book.

This is sort, nice book, only 28 minutes in duration. The story is placed around Christmas time. It is about a lady who lost father and brother and is unfortunate looking for happiness. I liked how the story developed. The story is appropriate for Christmas time. Meghan provided different voices for characters which contributed the enjoyment in listening to this book. Pace and intonation are very good. Her narration definitely contributed to my pleasure which is shown in the overall rating.

I would recommend this book to people who want the interesting book for Christmas time.

Sweet Quick Read

I got this via audiobook boom. this book was about 28 minutes and was a very sweet story. Both the H and h are on a path that leads them to each other even though when they first met they were very small kids but this Christmas miracle is that even though S. Claus has a debilitating disease he comes home to help his son find the love of his life. So S. Clause Jr is reunited with the girl who was told that the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas was her walk. She always believed that it was. After experiencing the death of both her father then her brother in the same year she feels as if Christmas will not be as it should. But that is why Christmas is there. It celebrates the greatest gift that we could ever get. The birth of the one who will save the world.

Surprise Santa

This is a really sweet short Christmas story. I liked how Santa is portrayed! Meghan's narration was extremely enjoyable as always. She gifted me this in exchange for a review. I hope to hear more from her in 2017. She is among my top 5 narrators that I love to listen to!!

Short and sweet

A lovely story about expectations and hope. The story was much shorter than I expected, so I was surprised when it ended so soon. However, the author did a great job of covering her bases. I felt, throughout the book, that this would make a great made for TV Christmas movie. The story is a clean read, safe for anyone. My preteen granddaughter listened with me and enjoyed it. The narrator did a good job, and seems skilled at altering her voice for characters.

I like Carol River's books. Very entertaining.

Romantic and thrilling; the spirit of post WW1 London comes alive.

I can't believe I haven't discovered Carol Rivers before now. Writing in the tradition of Catherine Cookson and Lena Kennedy, she re-creates for her readers the London of yesteryear, populating her story with characters that are larger than life and resonate long after the last page is turned.

Set just after WW1 has ended, Birdie is a real life heroine, looking forward to being a good wife to her intended Donald Thorne, who has visions of expanding his grocery shop. Birdie Connor is a loving daughter, and both sister and substitute mother to young Pat, on the cusp of adulthood. Like many young girls she has an eye for fashion, she also has a talent for dressmaking. There is sorrow in her life though. Her eldest brother Frank has brought shame on the family, breaking his father's heart, having been accused and convicted of desertion. And Birdie can't understand why Donald can make time to walk out with his brother's widow, yet insists the only way Birdie and he can be alone together is if Birdie works long hours in his shop. When Frank breaks out of jail, and gets involved with Russian `white' terrorists tension mounts and it's down to young Pat and Harry, the Connor's lodger, to pit their wits against desperate people and the police to salvage the Connor's honour and Birdie's happiness.

All through the book, I longed for Birdie to tell Donald where to stick his rotten fruit and veg, and take a better look at Harry, a man quietly supporting Birdie while nurturing a growing building company. Carol Rivers keeps her readers entertained with the sights and smells of old London (you'll learn a little Cockney Rhyming Slang) and creates characters so vivid, you'll live through their struggles and triumphs, good times and bad as they battle with day to day living on the Isle of Dogs.

Reading this book is like a long leisurely stroll down memory lane, back to good old London Town where a pint of cockles was the only fast food, when family was everything, and the world was the street where you lived. Mix in a story of faith, desertion, and desperate refugees to add spice and intrigue, and you have a book impossible to put down until the very last drop has been savoured.

This series is hot with romance and sex. Also amazing alpha personalities both of the women and both of there men ,and they are amazing people. I also love that in the third book in comes a gorgeous gay man that helps Jenny out when she needs it most and they quickly become best friends.

They can't be together because office relationships are forbidden but they risk it anyways. he's not the only air to becoming next ceo but when his father announces he will be choosing him or Michael to become the next ceo will he give her up just to secure his future when his brother won't give up his relationship? All while daddy doesn't know.

Another great series

This is another great series. As were all of the others that I have read so far. I think I have a couple more to read.

Marrying Your Best Friend

I got this book via audiobook boom. This was another great story. I read the first coaches boys books and enjoyed it. This is Jon and Hannah's story. Jon is the last of the boys to fall in love and he is also the one who needed it the most. ed was reunited with one of his daughters. The stalker is getting closer and closer and more vindictive. I wonder if ed's oldest daughter has something to do with the stalker. Oh well, I guess I will find out soon. The narrator was very good but the sound quality was not. I found that in several spots the narration kept repeating itself. But that only happened a couple of time and the story was not lost because of this glitch.

Another really good addition to the series. Each installment in the series has been just as good as the one before. The whole series is entertaining, interesting and enjoyable. These stories are clean, sweet romance stories so if you have to have "steamy scenes" in your story this series may not be for you. If you are looking for something without "steamy scenes" this is a really good series with an ongoing mystery.

This story is about Jon and Hannah. They start out pretending to date and things evolve from there. Hannah has a secret which Jon learns and helps her keep until she's ready to reveal it.

The stalker is ramping up his attacks. He's quite busy in this book. He is now targeting all of Ed's friends and putting them in danger. We are getting closer to finding out who this mystery person is. I have my own suspicions but I could be wrong.

Daniela Acitelli does a good job with the narration. She has a pleasant voice. Clearly spoken. I have gotten used to her as being the voice of the series. There are a couple of times the narration did not flow smoothly or there was an awkward pause, but this did not take away from my overall enjoyment of the story. She is able to bring the characters and their emotions to life.

Wow!

Spoil alert!! This is the second book to sexiest man alive.... and loved it! I laughed and cried... and hated olie's ex. I loved the romantic part where olie and nathan friends help them get back together. It was horrible when Ollie's ex tried to kill her. But overall it is another fantastic writing by m. Clarke. I honestly recommend this book!

Hopefully, there is more to read on the friends too. I love their characters.

Again, Ms. Ting novel gave me a few enjoying nights reading this eBook.

Finally...

Nathan and Olivia got their HEA, but not before some drama. Troy happened. That guy is certifiable. He almost got away with attempted murder. Nathan was a wonderful guy though. He didn't take any risks, even though it was tempting. He was reasonable about dealing with Troy. I am happy they got back together and have their forever.

She opened the door and.......Oh No....

After the cliff hanger in SEXIEST MAN ALIVE I couldnt wait to open up and read SEXIEST COUPLE ALIVE, I really needed to know what happen when she opened the door. Well Evil happened by the name of TROY, and so it continues , its all there no disappointments in this book you get all the edge of your seat with tears on your cheeks kind of stuff. Will Nathan find out the truth before its to late. Or will Nate and Olivia find what was always meant to be, them together as THE SEXIEST COUPLE ALIVE. Its a thrill ride into a brilliant read . I loved it and so will you!

Nail biting good time

This book has it all, romance, thrills, and sexiness. I jumped right into it after reading the first book and it didn't disappoint. You will find yourself excited for the characters as their relationships develop. I am excited to get to know Josh more in book 3.

Wonderful!

I love the way Mary Campisi writes about second chances. It really makes the reader believe there can be a second chance in love and life.

The narrator, Tanya Eby, has a clear and pleasant voice. Very easy to follow along with.

I can't wait for my next Mary Campisi book.

Entertaining, fun and occasionally emotional story

Normally I have been staying far away from billionaire/ wealthy businessmen books lately because I have just burned out on those types of stories, but when I read the blurb for Getting Dirty with the CEO, I decided to give it a chance- and I am glad I did!

As the story opens, Daniel is attending a wedding and since I didnât read the first book in the series, it threw me off for a moment but this book does stand alone so it wasnât a problem in the end. Daniel has built a successful business which has been propelled by his chatm, sophistication and charisma. He also has a reputation for being a player, and all of these things are major strikes against him with the brideâs best friend Mimi. She is a spitfire whose strength, determination and spirit have intrigued him, and the nickname he gave her fits well: Fireworks.

Mimi certainly lives up to her nickname in the opening chapter as they verbally spar, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. But just when she thinks she has the upper hand, Daniel shocks her by calling a halt to the festivities. Despite his reputation, he wants to be more than a conquest or a one night stand to her, and although he is going to have his work cut out for him, he knows the effort will be worth it.

Daniel may be successful and charismatic, but he is nothing like Mimiâs philandering and obnoxious father who has contributed to her toxic outlook on men and relationships. After watching her mother fade into a shell of herself with no means to support herself if she left her husband, Mimi decided essentially that love is for fools, happy ever after doesnât really exist, and if she closes down her heart, she wonât have a chance to either be cheated on or become dependent on a man for happiness or survival. Unfortunately for her, she is quickly realizing that Daniel is going to seriously test her resolve as she discovers that he is so much more beneath the persona he presents to the world at large.

I loved the chemistry between these two characters as they each battled for the upper hand then started to realize they were losing the battle against protecting their hearts. In Danielâs case it wasnât really a problem for him though as he was looking forward to a chance at real relationship with a woman who seemed to be everything he could want. For Mimi, it was downright terrifying though.

I liked this book very much. It is well written and enjoyable. The narrator is a good reader but her voice is too sugary sweet.
