Then she meets Caspian, the gorgeous and mysterious boy who shows up out of nowhere at Kristens funeral, and who keeps reappearing in Abbeys life. Caspian clearly has secrets of his own, but hes the only person who makes Abbey feel normal again - but also special.
Just when Abbey starts to feel that she might survive all this, she earns a secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her best friend. How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? As Abbey struggles to understand Kristens betrayal, she uncovers a frightening truth that nearly unravels her, one that will challenge her emerging love for Caspian, as well as her own sanity.

Slow
Very very slow. Only the last hour of the story was intresting. Waste of a credit!
Poor execution of a good idea
I like the idea for the story and the cover art. Unfortunately, this book never really developed. Way too much time devoted to the mundane... going to bed, waking up, eating breakfast, going to school, doing home work... The book quickly develed into nothingness and very little was actually dedicated to the death/mystery of Kristen.
Pass on this one.
I'M SO MAD RIGHT NOW
It's interesting but drags on, I would have liked it a lot more if it was about half as long, because the book spends a lot of time on events that lead to nothing and have no purpose.
Also the big twist ending was kind of a let down, because it was pretty obvious from the first chapter. And they don't answer the main question at all. Like the whole point of the book, the thing that's supposedly driving the PLOT, is never answered. which seems like a cheap way to get people to read the sequel. and I'm not sure my heart can take it.
I give her credit, it was a very realistic portrayal of grief, but it lasts so long that after a few chapters you just want to tell your mom you love her and take a nap because you're so emotionally exhausted.
Jessica is clearly a good writer, but I don't think this story wasn't handled very well.
I am glad that I stuck with it!
Slow to start, but once it got going it was very good. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Beautiful...This story takes my breath away.....
I can relate to Abbey so well.
