On Monday, Larry was joined on stage by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra (D) at Loyola Marymount University for a conversation about Villaraigosa’s platform and plans as he vies to be the next governor of the Golden State in a crowded and unpredictable field. Becerra served as the 25th United States Secretary of Health and Human Services from March 2021 to January 2025; he previously served as the attorney general of California from January 2017 until March 2021.
