    Oh bebe it’s s02e51 and it’s a b-sides episode, full of unearthed conversations from previous episodes strung together to form one long auditory sausage for yall. It kicks off with some Maky Lavender speak on Superman being problematic and opening for other rappers before the Lasers discuss the difference between inspiration and thievery when creating. They talk being under the influence with Erik Leijon, paper trails and finance with Freddy Lloyd and real friends vs rap friends with Maky before Brittain refuses to accept nerdom. They speak music criticism and new rappers with Erik Leijon, stream farms and fast fashion with Lil Lonely, and burning cocaine lol with Cyber. They talk Dunn’s, cats and stacking cash with Maky and the value of nostalgia amongst themselves before taking a look under the hood of art journalism in the city with Erik. To close out, the Lasers discuss getting grooves back and women no longer taking Ls before Freddy Lloyd breaks down his current projects and they examine the purpose of debate when some things just aren’t up for discussion.   • S02E50 - Exhausting Options

    S02e50 is here - that’s half a century my dude, aka a big frigging deal, and we take the opportunity to get a lil personal! They kick things off with Markings reluctantly sharing his feelings on his feelings and talking just being exhausted man before he and Mike talk disappointing your immigrant parents and everyone talks trying to get to where they’re going while the going is still good. They talk a lil bit of basketball and balancing responsibilities and then give a lil bit of insight into where they’re all at on their respective paths before Mike and Markings explore the importance of not faking it in your raps. They hit ‘Top of the Hour’ just for fun and talk motivation in creative fields and doing it to be the best vs doing it just to do it and workshop ways to quit your job but still collect the government cheese you need to start your own thing. They talk talking sex, anniversaries, google ads and owning domains before Markings talks the extent to which he likes private parts and everyone discusses the importance of down time to recalibrate the being. To close out, they explore the Berenstain Bear debacle, archetypes and predicting behaviour and then get super serious about branding. Tra-la-la-la-lasers!!

They kick off with space talk (would you go, are you scared, are there aliens) before Bunty King talks important issues in gaming and everyone gets deep on AI and puts it into a larger context before disagreeing on Mr Musk. They talk character building through fighting before Bunty shares a tough time and getting through it and everyone agrees that communication in relationships is key, shout out dolphins.     S02e46 has arrived and the Lasers welcome singer/songwriter Janette King to the podcast!! To kick off they talk the cyclical nature of things, sneakers in particular, and get into the nitty gritty of what isssss streetwear. They examine the role of liquor in nightlife and decide who amongst them has the best salsa before tracing the punk style back to its West Indian roots and talking licensing legends’ names. They discuss exactly why Lauryn Hill’s performance style is so abrasive and what it taught Mike about yelling at drummers before hitting ‘Top of the Hour’ to get to know one another a wee bit better. Mike and Markings disagree about pc culture and everyone wonders when it’s funny to be mean (almost never) and they separate the man from the art with Kodak Black. Mike gives us some notes and chronicles his top producers before they talk networking in the arts and releasing music on the available platforms. They play ‘Secret Life of Wax’ before Janette talks Vancouver and asks for more info on Montreal steak spice please. Janette tells us about her move to Montreal and what she got out of jazz school before beginning her self-portrait and then completing her self-portrait to everyone’s horror. They play ‘Secret Life of Wax’ and examine longevity in music - who has it, who wants it, and how the hell to get it - before JT Soul shares a lil insight into the music he’s gonna drop and they talk peruvian dishes, specifically... green ones. JT Soul talks his team and his process and Mike gets insightful about psychedelics before they hit ‘Top of the Hour’ and disagree about the ramifications of ayahuasca.
