Over the last 14 seasons, we have planted a ton of food plots. Some have died, some have come in too late, some were underfertilzed, and some we're in the wrong spot. Alan Yates killed his first Turkey Saturday morning! We talk about how we punched a tag on his first tom ever, and were lucky enough to fill a second tag! If you haven't already heard, Alan has a pretty unique beginning to hunting, and he chronicles his adventures on his own podcast and social media channels called, "Journey to the Hunt". For someone who just began hunting 2 seasons ago, he already has learned a ton of lessons, and made a bunch of great memories!

Third season is almost over, and we managed to kill 3 birds over the weekend. Logan and Ali started it off on Friday morning with a gobbler right off the roost that came into the decoy spread and put on a show! Saturday...we got our @$$es kicked! But, on Sunday, we were able to reap another pair of turkeys in about a 45 minute stretch! We recap all of the hunts that we went on, and what we think led to each Tom in the bed of the truck! After 7 days of turkey hunting, we have 3 tags punched. Garrett reaped a turkey during 1st season in Illinois. Then, over the weekend, Matt was able to punch a tag on Illinois public land. Yesterday morning, Ali was also able to kill her 1st turkey ever...reap style! It was a pretty awesome weekend of hunting, and we recap what we believe the critical moments of each of the hunts were in this episode! Thanks for listening, and we hope you kill a turkey soon!

HUNTROVERSY!!! The question is not if we agree or disagree with pen raised game! The question is why does some pen raised game such as deer and elk get more hatred online than a hog or bird? We weigh in on all the pen-raised game we can think of to hunt in the United States, including: birds, hogs, stag, exotic species, elk, mule deer, and whitetail deer. Since turkey season is fast approaching, we dive into the first of many turkey topics that we will be covering this spring. In this episode, we talk about reaping turkeys, and strategies that we have used over the last several years to reap turkeys in the wide open.
