Shari Smith was just getting ready to graduate from high school. She stops at the mailbox in front of her house to check the mail but she never comes inside. Her father gets worried and drives to the mailbox down the long drive. Shari's car is running. The passenger door is open. Shari is nowhere to be found. The FBI is brought in. Two days after the abduction, the kidnapper begins calling the Smith family using a creepy voice distortion unit. He taunts Shari's mother and her sister, Dawn.
