  • More Than Friends by Kat Singleton

In this episode, we dive into the contemporary romance book More Than Friends by Kat Singleton. This is the third book in her Pembroke Hills Series. We’ve covered the first two books in the series, In Good Company and Bad for Business, previously on the podcast.

During this episode, we discuss how it was well worth the wait for Jude’s book, how much we loved learning more about Charlotte, why we’ll never look at glasses and gray sweatpants the same way again, how enamored we became with Jude as a dad, why Jude’s dirty talk was top-notch, how much we enjoyed reading Jude’s inner thoughts, why Charlotte was almost like a feral cat, and how seeing the three of them as a happy family was such a perfect ending. Plus, we chat all about the fantastic spice in this book, how we believe it might be the most chapters in a row of spice in any Kat Singleton book, and why we’re giving it a four-pepper spicy rating.

  • Author Interview: Nika McKinney

In this episode, we’re joined by Nika McKinney and discuss her debut novel, Realm of Ruin. We discuss how her own medical challenges led her to love of romantasy and ultimately inspired her to write her debut romantasy novel, how she came up with the complex magical system, why she wanted to highlight trauma and the impact it has on people in this story, and a few tidbits about what to expect in the next book.

Realm of Ruin is available on Amazon, Kindle Unlimited, and Barnes and Noble.

    About Nika McKinney

Nika has always harbored the quiet dream of becoming a writer since she was a child. Her happy spot is writing about magical love, gut-wrenching trauma, and redemptive healing. Words are her daggers and paintbrushes.

She lives with her own fated mate and their two children in the north of Texas where it snows entirely too little. She is also a board-certified mental health therapist and a firm believer in the power of a good lavender matcha latte.
