Carmen Lazar represented the Assyrian Australian Association in the UN non government organisations conference in Geneva in June 2018. She had prepared a study case about Assyrian refugees specially males who have been stranded in neighboring countries of Iraq. Mrs Lazar told SBS she is disappointed as the UN don't give much urgency to these cases as it's staff are overloaded with huge numbers of refugees cases.
