  • Unvaccinated Quebec Nurses Suspended
As of Friday all Quebec healthcare workers who are not fully vaccinated will be suspended without pay immediately. As you may expect his has created a complicated discussion of the rights of someone to not be vaxed against the rights of hospital and long-term care patients to be cared for by vaccinated healthcare workers. Nursing staff are attempting to make martyrs of themselves and this has created a great conversation of weighing job requirements against a personal right or freedom.
As well this week it was announced that the U.S. will now be allowing vaccinated Canadians to travel freely into the United States over land borders again starting in November. It has been over a year and a half now since the border was closed, and this will hopefully bring much needed relief to the tourism industry over the winter months.

  • The Texas Abortion Law and Canada‘s Federal Vaccine Mandate
With a brief slow down in Canadian politics we have time to discuss Texas' new abortion restriction, and the impact it has on the population as a whole. With incentives to snitch on fellow citizens, arbitrary 6 week measures used to determine when it becomes illegal and a particular impact on the poor population within Texas, is it really worth the reported "drop" in abortions across the state?
As well later today (date of posting) Justin Trudeau is set to announce a new federal mandate Canada wide to enforce all federal employees, railway workers and airline staff, along with anyone riding a train or airplane within Canada to be fully vaccinated. This is the first time we have seen the federal government mandate any sort of Covid policy, outside of the border closures and it was a major campaign promise in the recent election. Will there be any fallout from this choice or will it benefit the population?

  • Orange Shirt Day and the PPC
This week is Truth and Reconciliation Week in Canada, topped up with September 30 as a new national holiday known informally as Orange Shirt Day. The holiday is meant to provide focus on the issues and concerns of the indigenous populations, including the dozens of reserves where clean drinking water is still not available along with the missing and murdered indigenous woman and girls and of course the continued impact of residential schools. The holiday is however, not recognized provincially in 5 of 13 provinces and territories here, and I decide to make the case why it should be a provincial holiday as well around the entire nation.
This past week has also seen a rise online in division between peoples Party of Canada voters, who supported Maxime Bernier, and the rest of the population. Things have gone so far as viral memes saying to "delete me from Facebook if you voted for the PPC". As you may guess, to me as someone who is vehemently supportive of open and respectful debate and discussion, this change in the mentality of our fellow citizens is very concerning. I decided to take some time this week to plea to your better judgement and ask that things be calmed down a bit. What makes people so angry with supporters of an oppositional political stance? and how can we bring everyone back together, without conflict?

  • Canadian Election Results
This week we take a look at the current election results, and analyze the minority government win for Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada. Should we be surprised by his win and the lack of Conservative Party support under Erin O'Toole? What should we expect moving forward with the increased power of the NDP? And does this tell us Canadiand are happy with the response to the COVID Pandemic? There are so many questions!
Also I make my case for why all Canadians should be paying more attention to politics, and devoting more time to the active discussion in a civilized and calm manner.

  • How Social Media Impacts Canadian Elections
This week we are exploring the impact that social media has on Canadian elections by analyzing the results and research from the 2019 election cycle. The three main ways people fear that elections will be impacted are misinformation, foreign interference and non-citizen voting. Are these really dangerous threats to our election integrity or are these just twitter talking points that shouldn't be concerns for the general public?

  • The Taliban Take Back Afghanistan
Earlier this week the Taliban took over Afghanistan once again. In a few weeks the country fell to the terrorist organizations leadership. This week we discuss how and why it all happened and we analyze the impact by looking at some specific examples of people now suffering under their flawed view of politics influenced by religion and Sharia.
The global impact from this will be extreme and the consequences will be longstanding. The effect on the woman and innocent civilians in the country will be drastic. Another difficult week of conversation is upon us, and there's no avoiding this one.

  • Huawei Executive Responsible for Canadian Death Sentence
A title I can only wish was clickbait. As a Chinese Billionaire executive awaits her fait here in Canada, after getting caught attempting to trade through an American embargo on Huawei, the CCP has sentenced two innocent Canadian men in retaliation. One to death on trumped up drug smuggling charges, and the other to 11 years in prison, claiming he was a North Korean spy. The same North Korea China continues to support and closely work with!
These horrible new developments in the years long saga all originate around China attempting to protect a Billionaire accountant who they believe should be above the law. Well this Canadian won't stand by and watch this unfold without saying something, it's time to make everyone aware of the game the Chinese Communist Party is playing, and how this may effect Canadians attendance at the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics.
