The United States have put sanctions banning Russian oil and Gas, and have instead turned to long time rivals Venezuela and Iran to investigate options for substituting the now illegal Russian energy source. This has had impacts on things such as foreign relationships and international partnerships, most surprisingly with Iran's sudden willingness to work towards an agreement in their nuclear arms deal.

As well this week a leading South Korean politician has been using Deep fake videos of an AI version of himself to attend town halls and answer citizens questions during his campaign. Will the technology prove useful and is there a possibility that we will see that strategy evolved for the west in the future?

As the Russian military continues to wage war, shelling and launching guided missile attacks on innocent citizens of Ukraine, I am dedicating all of my podcasts and social media to inform everyone of what is happening on the ground and what news sources they can rely on for fast and accurate information.

I also decided to dive into the sanctions, and the impact that a bad economy will have on this war. with the Russian population going broke by the minute, the major impacts here will be felt for decades in Russia.

as mentioned in the episode this week I recommend sky news (UK), DW News (Germany, and France 24 (France) for your news, all available 24/7 on YouTube. I consume the English versions of their channels and recommend anyone interested do the same.

At times like this we can feel helpless, and I hope that the time you spend with me each week gives you a little bit of a sense of the situation, and some form of enjoyment that we are all helpless in this together.

Russia has over 100,000 military troops and personnel along the border with Ukraine currently performing military exercises. NATO has been supplying plane loads of weaponry for the Ukrainian forces to prepare to defend against an invasion, and asking Russia to stand down from the Border. The crazy part of all of this is that the Ukrainian territories have not signed into an allied agreement with either side! How will this impact international behaviors and what can we expect in the coming weeks?

This week it was brought to my attention that I missed a major news story from Last September where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made some crazy allegations about non-vaccinated Canadians in a French interview. He referred to them as racists and misogynists! This brought up the concern that such a major story was missed by the English media and raises questions on how to ensure that major information is properly distributed during an election to all Canadians.

As well this week Microsoft made one of the largest purchases ever Spending $68.5 BILIION on gaming company Activision Blizzard. This excites me because of the value society is placing on entertainment and the new opportunities coming to small creators and investors in the future. There has never been a better time to have a good time than now!
