50 Years of strife, and the "whisky war" have all led to a world changing peaceful settlement between Canada and Denmark over a remote island in the Arctic. Canada now officially has two land borders, so how drastically is this going to change our lives?!?

Earlier this week Canada issued a global travel advisory due to the risk of contracting monkey pox, specifically in Europe and the United States. However, should we be worried about this virus? Is there a risk of lockdowns and should we ourselves be doing something to better avoid contracting the illness?

No sex with monkeys is a rule I will continue to preach!!

Will it be Doug Ford, or will it be Doug Ford? That's the question on everyone's mind as the conservatives enter 2022 election day with a 91% chance of a majority government, with the Liberal and NDP far below any historic highs for both parties.

What are the stories to watch?

With the upcoming June 2 provincial election we need to review the candidates and their party platforms. What promises are being made and who is currently presumed to be leading the way?

Doug Ford, Andrea Horwath, Steven Del Duca and Mike Shreiner are all competing for the top spot in the province. Who has the best shot at success?

This week Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a surprise visit to Ukraine and reopened the Canadian Embassy in Kyiv. A move which mirrors many allies recently who've visited the country devastated by the Russian invasion.

As well Quebec is planning to force all Quebec colleges to require 5 French courses to pass, and will require indigenous populations to teach French to their people. This new law meant to preserve the "French Heritage" is being criticized as a move to destroy native cultures and further divide the province away from the larger nation.

With the U.S. supreme court documents leaked, it looks as though abortion will be no longer legal across the United States and the individual states will be required to decide their own laws.

What could go wrong?

This week Statistics Canada released the 2021 census data, which for the first time included the number of transgender individuals in the country. The overall number was drastically lower than the previous estimates and we are now going to have to see if there is any political or social fallout from including this data.

As well this week there is renewed debate surrounding flying confederate flags, and I have my say on the self-victimization of local residents, and ultimately the reason why I think we should all want to see these flags to identify the crazy people among us!

Ok, maybe the title is a little dramatic, but this week I go over what COVID was like for me last week. What were the symptoms like, how did I manage to still work and how I managed to hang around for more episodes of the show.

Also this week we cover the sinking of Russia's top warship in the Ukraine war, along with Pakistans government removing their sitting prime minister through a vote of no confidence. How will these two events impact the rest of the world and local conflicts?

As I prepare to finally attend a concert this week, I reflect on the past 2 years and evaluate where we are in regards to COVID19 and the pandemic. Are we at the end? Should we still have controls in place like masks and mandatory vaccines? Wheat are experts saying about the current state of affairs?

as well, what can we learn from the effects of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine? Have we been getting to comfortable in the west without making enough of an effort to stay on top of these issues?

Will Smith decided to smack Chris Rock for commenting on his Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head at the Oscars. Which is ironic because it's cool for guys my age to slap her around in other ways!

Also this week Russia has announced it is moving out of western Ukraine and focusing it's military efforts on the eastern side of the country. How will this impact the war and is this a loss for Putin and Russia?
