Carolands Mansion was once considered the 2nd largest house in America.  Built in 1912 on 554 acres in Hillsborough, CA, the impressive estate had 100+ rooms and was almost considered to be the West Coast White House but by 1975 it was abandon and slid into serious decline.

It was rumored amongst high schoolers that security guards  would give unofficial tours of the mansion, and in 1985,  Jeanine Grinsell and Laurie McKenna wanted to see for themselves. Unfortunately, this is when Carolands turned into a house of horrors...
