Lava Linens Pros

Today’s mini pod is a Lava Linens Review. Lava Linens makes hemp and flax towels. These towels absorb more and dry faster than cotton. I first bought a set of their classic towels last year while attending the Overland West show. The towels are of good size, offer great body coverage, and dry fast. My wife and I thought these towels would be great while we were RVing, but we have found ourselves using these towels at home as well.

Some other reasons the towels are marketed towards campers and backpackers are because they are lightweight and naturally have antibacterial properties helping them stay fresh for extended periods in-between washes. They also pack up tightly, making it easy to carry them in a backpack or store them in a van or car.

Sabrina and I liked our towels so much that we bought two more. One was a mini hand towel in the kitchen. We hope it will reduce the number of paper towels we use. We also bought their new bath sheet. It’s the same size as their classic towel but even lighter, weighing only nine ounces. Sabrina is about to take some trips to Mexico and will be flying, so she wanted to pack as lightly as possible.

Lava Linens Cons

So those are all the pros to the Lava Linen towels, now for what could be considered a negative. These towels are very purposed made, meaning they are not what I would consider lush or comfy towels. These are not towels a hotel would use to make you feel pampered after a steam shower or a spa day. The design is for the towels to dry you quickly, then dry themselves quickly.

When you first start using the towel, it may feel tough, but that’s because they come with a lifetime warranty, and they are made to wear in and not wear out, so the more you use them, the softer it becomes. These towels have become my go-to towel when home or on the road.
