Welcome to the Layers of Design Podcast. I'm your host, Ebehi. As always, I appreciate you tuning into our episodes!
It's been a tough couple of weeks for the citizens of Nigeria. Being from Lagos, Nigeria myself, it's important for me to keep raising awareness and supporting the efforts of all Nigerians in putting an end to police brutality as well as bad governance. As a designer, I am curious on how design and architecture can help in rebuilding Nigeria to be a great country that can truly utilize the skills and talents of its citizens.
So, in this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kelechi Chukwueke, an Interior Architect and the founder of Sip&Paint Culture based in Abuja, Nigeria. She studied Interior Design at Drexel University, in Philadelphia. She's passionate about art, and design, and strives to bring this passion into all of her projects. Kelechi hopes to inspire a wave of young Nigerians to expand their minds through design and visual arts.
She shares with us her experience studying Interior Design as an international student, what she is currently focusing on and her thoughts on how design and architecture can help Nigeria grow!
