This week we sat down with special guests Dr. Teddy Alexis Rodriguez-Valez and playwright Sharai Bohannon to talk about the many ways in which we, the theatre community at large, have fallen short in our efforts to include people of color. Though the conversation is far from over, we are grateful to have the opportunity to amplify their voices.
Dr. Teddy Alexis Rodriguez-Velez is an independent scholar and actor/writer/director based in Los Angeles, California. He currently studies inclusion, diversity and equity in the theatre education and in media. He also freelances as a multiculturalism consultant.
