This week we talk about Ayurveda and Chakras and do a run through of the three doshas and the chakra energy centres of the body.
We discuss Vata, Pitta and Kapha Doshas and compare it to the elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Kalyna discusses dietary choices to balance each dosha, personality traits and the seasons associated and the physical attributes and qualities related to each constitution. Most people align most closely to one dosha but we are all made up of all elements and thus doshas.
Ayurveda's core focus is to balance the elements in the body to create harmony.
We look at the seven main chakras in the body, root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown chakras.
In considering the qualities of each one of these energy centres you will be introduced to a yoga pose which will open this energy centre, its' element and related life stage, the sound associated with the chakra and what it's meaning in your life is.
