    Dapper Boi

Dapper Boi is a San Diego-based  body-inclusive apparel line founded in 2015 by married couple Vicky and Charisse Pasche. The Pasche’s are partners in business and life, managing to raise twin preschoolers without going (completely) gray.

The vision for Dapper Boi was conceived on their honeymoon, born from Vicky’s challenges as a handsome woman with curves searching for clothes that fit her body and authentic expression. With an industry-disrupting commitment to inclusion, affirmation, and quality, their celebrated clothing business went from a crowdfunded passion project to a seven-figure company in five years.

Dapper Boi is a gender-welcoming, everyday clothing line with smart, down-to-earth vibes for people of all body types. They are proud to make people feel comfortable and confident in their own skin by offering quality, handsomely styled clothes with a unique fit. This summer, they will announce a virtual try-on tech partnership to revolutionize shopping for clothes online! With a couple selfies, customers will precisely see how outfits fit their body for the perfect fit on the first order, protecting the environment, and providing diverse online shoppers the comfort, dignity, and at times safety, that we all deserve.

"You can be whatever you want and do whatever you want, but it is about doing it on-brand"  Jayzen shares his experience of visiting the immersive Barbie World pop-up recently in Los Angeles.  One of the big takeaways…Barbie is always on-brand.  Whether it’s running for President, or being an astronaut or doctor, Barbie does it all…and always on-brand.  Sure she is a doll that is designed that way, but in your career, you can tap into your vast skills and take on new challenges, but it always has to be on-brand for you.

"If you're just part of the crowd, societal bias jumps in.  Bust through it by being seen for the value that you bring."  This week, Jayzen shares a key tenet of the Lead With Your Brand system, busting bias.  If you are human, you have bias. We all face some level of societal bias, but this is especially true for diverse people or those from marginalized communities.  If you don’t lead with your tailwinds, that is the attributes that you want to be known for, you’re going to be only known for the bias that someone puts on you.  Break through it by showing up everyday with what you want to be known for and the value that you bring, not a stereotype or job title.

To launch AAPI Heritage Month, Jayzen is excited to welcome Senna Bayasgalan to the show.  She has had incredible career success and recently took the role of Managing Director of Marketing & Communications at Global Private Capital Association. Senna is passionate about guiding brands to prioritize purpose over product, and she takes pride in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within her company and community.
