First pillar of executive presence: Gravitas
Gravitas is a feeling about a leader. These are the elements that make up those feelings. Think about those you know with great executive presence and then think about yourself.
Performance under pressure - do you want to be close or around them
Decisiveness - ability to make decision in a timely manner with correct data and clarity
Integrity - candor, are you telling everyone everyone around you the straight story
Emotional intelligence - the how of all the others, how do you manage yours and others emotions
Reputation - your reputation gets in the room before you do, do you know what your's is?
Casting your vision - where we are going, why and the how.
All these things you can work on. Where to start? Self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
