It was a night to forget against the Edmonton Oilers as the Toronto Maple Leafs did not look like a team that has its sights set on contending following a 5-2 loss. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti give their reaction to what went wrong in the game which seemed lost right from the start (0:00). They look at everything from the top players not showing up against the Oilers top players more specifically the top line. The Morgan Rielly-Justin Holl pairing continue to struggle which leaves Mike and Dave questioning why they remain together (8:15). They also give their thoughts on Mark Giordano and Timothy Liljegren who had their struggles and numbers that show why it's not working for them to play together (16:20). There were some positives to take from the game, especially from some new faces who did try to provide something in this game (21:30). It wasn't a great night between the pipes for Ilya Samsonov as he continues to struggle on the road (26:48). There continues to be one player in particular who has seen his play drop off this season and it's getting worrisome, Mike and Dave give their thoughts on why Rielly is having a season to forget and wonder if there is anything that can be done to get him back on track (33:53). To end the show, Mike and Dave touch on Joseph Woll getting the start instead of Matt Murray and whether this now making the goaltending situation something that gets brought to the top of the to-do list before the trade deadline is over (48:00).
