It was a successful weekend for the Toronto Maple Leafs who picked up a win at home against the Minnesota Wild and then cruised to a victory over the Seattle Kraken to start their road trip out West. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti wrap up the action from the weekend looking at what stood out to them in the two games including the lineup changes and Ilya Samsonov having two stellar starts. They move on to the crazy Sunday in the NHL that saw many deals go down including Tanner Jeannot going to the Tampa Bay Lightning who gave up a haul of assets to get the deal done. Mike and Dave discuss the trade and wonder if the Leafs should be looking to make a deal in response. Another blockbuster trade occurred with Timo Meier going to the New Jersey Devils but was the return for San Jose justified? Mike and Dave wonder what it would have cost the Leafs in a similar deal and what should the team's focus be with only days left heading into the trade deadline.
