On today’s podcast, we have Dr. Imogen Coe. Formerly the dean of science at Ryerson, she is currently a professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biology. Dr. Coe is also a cell biologist studying the structure, function, regulation, & distribution of a family of transporter proteins.
Coming from humble backgrounds, she’s accomplished an enormous amount. Born in a little village just outside of Cambridge, England, to earning a Ph.D. at the University of Victoria, in Canada. Having brought her voice to Ryerson University she has also established the first faculty of science!
She is a big advocate for women in STEM, diversity & inclusion. She has a heightened awareness, and passion for always willing to step forward and address injustice and advocate for others to remove barriers and provide opportunities.
