This woman walks up to our booth, and I looked at her, and I said her name, and she looked at me. She's like, oh, my God, little Leann. How funny is that, y'all? And I'm telling you, I was on my feet. We set up at 830, and we left at noon."

"Had a lot of people show up. We walked around with our white canes around the center, had our lunch, played games afterwards. It was just a really nice, cool, great day. So along those lines of being happy and things that mean a lot to us. I am one of those people that gets very, very emotionally attached to my tv shows. Along with a lot of my special ed students."

"So I know this is a brief overview, and it doesn't really give you all the information about white canes, but, again, it's just a really great low tech solution for people that are blind and visually impaired. It allows them, as I said, to travel, to just understand their world and their environment in ways that they wouldn't be able to due to their lack of vision."

"And those are just a few examples. Gosh, I remember I had one student who. This breaks my heart, this story. So I had this one student years and years ago while I was still an instructional assistant. So this is basically the timeframe of 2007 to 2010 whose mom had passed. And it was very hard on the whole family, and even more so for this special needs child, who, again, felt things a bit deeper than some of their other family members."

Just so you all know, the white cane is an international symbol that lets users know that the user has sighted loss. So do any of y'all know people that are visually. Excuse me, it's been a long day. People that celebrate Rosh Hashanah review their actions during the past year and look for ways to improve themselves, their communities, and their world in the year to come. Rosh Hashanah is widely observed by Jews throughout the world, often with prayer and reflection in a synagogue. There are also several holiday rituals observed at home and in the synagogue."
