A FÖLD VIZEI
KÖRÜLVESZ A VÍZ
Nézz magad köré.
Mindenütt megtalálható a víz.
Víz hull az égből, és víz folyik a szárazföldön át.
Behatol a föld alá és víztesteket tölt meg.
A VÍZ MINT FOLYADÉK
A bolygónk felszínének nagyobb részét víz borítja.
Víz van az óceánokban, a folyókban, tavakban, és a mocsarakban.
A víz esőként hull a felhőkből.
Ezek a vizek mind folyékony halmazállapotúak.
A folyékony víz egyik helyről a másikra folyik.
Bármiben is van, felveszi annak az alakját.
HŐMÉRSÉKLET
A víz halmazállapota meg tud változni folyékonyból más halmazállapotúvá.
A víz halmazállapotának a változását a hőmérséklet idézi elő.
A hőmérséklet az, hogy valami mennyire hideg vagy meleg.
A VÍZ MINT SZILÁRD ANYAG
Gondolj az égből hulló esőre.
Az eső folyékony halmazállapotú.
Mi történik ha az időjárás nagyon hidegre fordul?
Így van—az eső megfagy!
Mikor az eső megfagy, folyékony halmazállapotúból szilárd halmazállapotúvá változik.
A víz szilárd halmazállapota a jég.
A jég kemény, és saját alakja van.
A hópelyhek apró jégdarabok.
Néhány hegyen hatalmas jégdarabok vannak, melyeket gleccsereknek nevezünk.
A jégcsap a jég egy másik formája.
Mi történik a jéggel ha az időjárás felmelegszik?
A jég elolvad és újra folyékony lesz!
A VÍZ MINT GÁZ
Mi történik a folyékony vízzel mikor a hőmérséklet nagyon meleg?
A pocsolyák eltűnnek miután felkel a nap.
Hová tűnik a folyékony víz?
A napból áradó energia miatt megváltozik a víz halmazállapota.
A víz folyékony halmazállapotúból gáz halmazállapotúvá válik.
A víz elpárolog, vagy a levegőbe távozik.
A gáz halmazállapotú víz a vízpára.
A vízpára a levegőben levő apró vízrészecskék.
A vízpára láthatatlan, de érezhető.
A vízpára a forró napokat tapadóssá teszi.
A vízpára megváltozik mikor a hőmérséklet csökken.
A vízpára lecsapódik és folyékony vízzé válik.
Így újra láthatóvá válik!
VÍZ AZ ÉLETHEZ
A növényeknek és az állatoknak vízre van szükségük.
A víz biztosítja az életbenmaradást a Földön levő élőlények számára.

WATER ALL AROUND
Look around you.
Water is everywhere.
Water falls from the sky and flows overland.
It goes into the ground and fills bodies of water.
WATER AS A LIQUID
Most of our planet is covered with water.
Water is in oceans, rivers, lakes, and ponds.
Water falls from clouds as rain.
All this water is in a liquid state.
Liquid water can flow from one place to another.
It takes the shape of whatever it is in.
TEMPERATURE
Water can change from a liquid state to other states.
Water changes from one state to another because of temperature.
Temperature is how hot or cold something is.
WATER AS A SOLID
Think about rain falling from the sky.
The rain is in a liquid state.
What happens if the weather gets very cold?
That’s right—the rain freezes!
When rain freezes, it changes from a liquid state to a solid state.
The solid state of water is ice.
Ice is hard, and it has its own shape.
Snow is tiny pieces of ice.
Some mountains have huge pieces of ice, called glaciers.
Icicles are another form of ice.
What happens to the ice if the weather gets warm?
The ice melts and becomes a liquid again!
WATER AS A GAS
What happens to liquid water when the temperature is very hot?
Puddles go away after the sun comes out.
Where does the liquid water go?
Energy from the sun causes the water to change state.
The water changes from a liquid state to a gas state.
The water evaporates, or goes into the air.
Water in a gas state is water vapor.
Water vapor is tiny bits of water in the air.
