안녕하세요.
KoreanClass101.com 여러분! 줄리아입니다.
오늘부터는 여러분에게 꼭 소개해 드리고 싶은 10대 관광지에 대해 이야기해 나가려고 합니다.
오늘은 한국의 미를 한껏 느껴보실 수 있는 곳, 바로 경복궁을 소개해 보겠습니다.
조선을 세운 태조 이성계가 궁궐을 조성했는데요.
그때 세워진 궁궐이 경복궁입니다.
그리고 조선 시대에 가장 중심이 되었던 궁궐이 되었답니다.
여러분이 잘 아시는 세종대왕도 이 경복궁에서 집현전의 학자들과 함께 한글을 만들었다고 합니다.
한국의 깊은 역사가 흐르던 곳이지요.
경복궁 안에 들어가면 왕이 집무를 보던 근정전, 왕의 침소인 강녕전 등 많은 건물이 있습니다.
제가 작년에 처음으로 경복궁을 가보게 되었는데요.
물론 한국인 관광객도 많았지만, 외국인 관광객도 아주 많더라고요.
설레는 마음으로 거대한 문을 지나 궁을 들어서는 순간, 제 눈은 휘둥그레졌습니다.
궁이 이 정도로 큰 줄은 꿈에도 몰랐어요.
입구에서 건물까지 10분은 걸어 들어갔던 것 같아요.
그리고 궁 안에는 건물이 어찌나 많은지 구석구석 다 돌아다녔더니 3시간 이상은 걸렸어요.
궁을 돌아다니면서 느낀 것은 ‘우리나라 왕들의 권력이 상상했던 것보다 훨씬 더 컸구나’라는 것이었습니다.
그렇게 정신없이 구경하고 나니 어느덧 해가 지고 있더라고요.
저는 또 한 번 놀랬답니다.
낮에 보는 경복궁도 참 아름다웠지만, 밤에 조명에 비추어진 경복궁의 모습은 감동 그 자체였습니다.
오늘은 경복궁에 대해 살짝 이야기해 보았는데요.
여러분 혹시 경복궁에 가시게 되거든 경복궁 근처에 있는 북촌 한옥마을, 삼청동, 광화문 광장, 그리고 국립민속박물관에도 가보세요.
그 근처에 한국적인 미를 갖춘 관광지가 다 모여 있어서 한꺼번에 투어를 해보는 것도 괜찮을 것 같네요.

Hello.

From today, I will talk about the ten tourist sites that I really want to introduce to you.
Today I will introduce Gyeongbok-gung, a place where you can experience the beauty of Korea at its utmost!
The first dynasty king, Yi Seong-gye, who established Joseon, built the palace. The palace built then was Gyeongbok-gung. Then it became the most central palace of the Joseon Dynasty.
King Sejong, whom you are all very familiar with, is said to have invented Hangeul with the scholars of the Hall of Worthies at Gyeongbok-gung. This place is full of Korean history. If you go inside Gyeong-bok-gung, there are many buildings such as the Throne Hall, where the king worked, and Gang-nyeong-jeon, the king's bedchamber.
Last year, I went to Gyeongbok-gung for the first time. Of course, there were many Korean tourists, but there were also many foreign tourists.
At the moment I crossed the huge doors with my heart trembling and entered the palace, my eyes widened. I had never known, even in my dreams, that the palace was this big. It seemed like it took ten minutes to walk from the entrance to the buildings.
Also, there were so many buildings within the palace that it took me over three hours to walk around everywhere. What I felt as I walked around was that the power of the kings of our country was much greater than I imagined.
After sightseeing so hectically, I found the sun was already setting. I was surprised again. Gyeongbok-gung was very beautiful to see by day, but the sight of Gyeongbok-gung illuminated at night was emotion itself.
We have talked about Gyeongbok-gung today. If you would be going to Gyeongbok-gung, please visit Buk-chon traditional village, Samcheong-dong, Gwanghwamun Placa, and the National Folk Museum of Korea as well. All the tourist destinations that possess the beauty of Korea are gathered in that area, so it will most likely be good to do a tour all at once.
