June 13, 2023 Day 8 Novena to Saint Anthony of Padua | Nine Day Prayer | Catholic Prayer
The Novena to Saint Anthony of Padua is a nine-day prayer that is traditionally prayed in honor of Saint Anthony. The novena is a time for asking for Saint Anthony's intercession in our needs and for thanking him for his many blessings.
The novena can be prayed at any time of year, but it is often prayed in the days leading up to the feast day of Saint Anthony, which is June 13.
To pray the novena, simply follow these steps:
Make an intention. Before you begin the novena, take some time to think about what you would like to ask Saint Anthony for. It could be anything, such as a job, a healing, or a favor for a friend or family member.
Pray the prayer. The novena prayer is a traditional prayer that is used to ask for Saint Anthony's intercession. You can find the prayer online or in a Catholic prayer book.
Meditate on the life of Saint Anthony. As you pray the novena, take some time to reflect on the life of Saint Anthony. He was a holy man who was known for his preaching, his miracles, and his love for the poor.
Offer your prayers to God. When you are finished praying the novena, offer your prayers to God. Ask him to grant your petition through the intercession of Saint Anthony.
The novena to Saint Anthony is a powerful prayer that can help us to grow in our faith and to receive the graces that we need. If you are looking for a way to ask for Saint Anthony's intercession, the novena is a great option.
