In this time of Bible study, we looked at Psalm 119 and saw the all-surpassing power of the Word of God to equip us to live for the glory of God. The Scripture delights God's people so that they love the Word and are equipped to live for the praise of Christ. May we be encouraged to pursue Him!

The resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of our faith as believers. In 1 Corinthians 15, we see the reality of our hope grounded in Christ defeating the grave. His resurrection also testifies to the reality of the last day where we will be raised to life with Him receiving glorified bodies in a new creation. May we rejoice in these truths as we are reminded of the foundation of our faith!

In Psalm 119:89-96, we see the psalmist focusing in on the character of God and the nature of the Word. This powerful section of Scripture shows us that the Word is eternal, unchanging truth revealing God to us. What a wonderful treasure for us as Christians to see the glorious character of our God who is faithful!

How do we know whether a church is healthy? What are the areas to consider when we are immersed in the life of the church? In 1 Thessalonians 3:6-10, we get to see Paul's assessment of Timothy's report regarding the church in Thessalonica. Faith, love, and a Godly affection for other believers are central to the life of the church. May we be encouraged to immerse ourselves in the life of the church for the glory of the Lord!

What does it look like to have biblically minded concerns for other believers? How can we encourage and exhort one another in the midst of those concerns and point each other to Christ? As we continue to walk through the book of 1 Thessalonians, we see all of these areas unpacked. May the Lord bring encouragement for us to faithfully invest in one another in the life of the local church!

How do we look to the Lord in times of persecution and suffering? What does it look like to lean on the Word of God during seasons of hardship? In verses 81-88, we see the psalmist bringing his questions to God while trusting in His Word for guidance and direction. May we be encouraged to faithfulness by this wonderful section of the Scripture!

What does it mean to proclaim the Word of God? How do we receive the Word in a way that is honoring to God? In 1 Thessalonians chapter 2, the Apostle Paul dives into these areas and shows the power of God's Word!

In 1 Thessalonians chapter 2, the Apostle Paul gives the example of a father with his children when unpacking faithful ministry in the local church. How do we exhort, encourage, and charge one another for the glory of the Lord in the body? The Apostle Paul shows us how the Lord is at work through His church for the glory and the eternal praise of His name!

What does it mean for God to deal well with His people? How do we grow closer to Him in times of suffering? Psalm 119 verses 65-72 shows us the powerful character of the God who is good and does good. Through this psalm, we see God's bountiful gift of Himself and His Word to His people. We also see His active grace in the midst of our suffering. May we be encouraged to serve Him all the more as we study His Word!
