Left Field Daily Message

What do you believe?

When you ask God to do things in your life or you ask Him for things, do you believe that you have received it? Matt 7 says "Ask, and it will be given to you" and John 14, "whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Jesus said that whatever we ask in His name, He will do to glorify the Father. Do you believe it when you ask it?

How do we get it so backwards?

Kindness can literally cost you nothing. There is so much freedom in giving. Everyone smiles in the same language. "in honor giving preference to one another" - Rom 12:10

Challenging times and a challenging life.

Jesus taught us that we'll have challenges and be persecuted, like Him. He also said He goes before us, prepares the way for us and look at all the promises He has for us. God knows the why behind the what and I'm cool with that. He has your best interest at heart. He never asked that we understand, only that we trust Him, have faith in Him and most importantly be obedient to Him.

He brings us back.

However far away you think you are or how lost you think you might be is never too far for God's love to find you. He is the God of the turn around. There is NOTHING that can separate you from the Love of God.

It will be better when...

I've said this in my life a great many times until I got hit hard with a word from God through a sermon earlier this year. If it's not great now, it won't be great then. Be a faithful steward of what's been entrusted to you. Seek God first, find what you need to learn and know now. If you rush it, you will ruin it. Make it great now.

Why do you need to be told?

You hear the same messages over and over and over yet nothing seems to change?

Are you applying these teachings in your life like you should be? Are you changing the way you do things?

The most important question is: Have you allowed God into your life to come and change all these things?

Let the Holy Spirit come and renew your mind, but you have to allow Him to come and do it.

God pursues you all the time, but He doesn't force you. It's still your choice.

Be the right sheep.

There's many reasons why we're referred to as sheep. Here's one perspective God showed me this morning. Know whose you are, know what's inside of you!

Why is it always a blame game?

I know it's a long one, but please hang in there with me. There is freedom in openly admitting when we made a mistake. Blaming others really doesn't help at all. It is important that we start taking responsibility for us. Ultimately you will be held accountable for it anyway. I feel accountability becomes easier to deal with when you take full responsibility.
