Left Field Daily Message

Why are you comparing?

You're better than me at this thing and better than this person at that thing, but this person is way better than you at this thing. Stop comparing and deflecting.

Your race isn't my race and isn't your friend's race. You have been made for a purpose and a calling that requires your exact level of skills, talent, character, etc, etc.

Nobody can catch you in your race, so you won't catch anybody in their race.

Keep your eyes on the prize Jesus sets before you.

Unfair

Are people treating you unfairly? You're not doing anything wrong yet people seem to be so toxic around you.

Remember, Jesus was completely innocent and had no sin at all and they crucified Him.

"If they persecuted me, they will persecute you." - John 15

Grace is free.

It is freely received and it should be freely given. It can't be earned.

If you don't accept it, however, then you can't get it. So it does need you to go get it.

Do this in secret!

When's the last time you gave something to someone without them knowing it was you? When's the last time you did something for someone they really needed and nobody knew?

The bible says that if you do it to be seen, you already have your reward and God will not reward you. It says to not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

What is God saying to you?

We learn in the bible what and who we are, but I feel you need a personal authentically real moment with the Lord. What is He saying to you?

Take a time out. Go sit with Him.

Why do we question?

Why do some things seem straight forward and some things confusing, contradicting, questionable? I believe the latter is because the Holy Spirit, the Guidance Councellor, isn't involved like He should be.

The secrets of God and of the bible are revealed to those who dive in deep and seek the answers.

Why am I struggling with this? Why can't I get rid of this? Why can't I get past this?

Let's have a quick look at one of the reasons that could be the root cause and where you might need to go look so God can help you get rid of this thing once and for all.

Is it right or is it wrong?

In all honesty, it's not up to me whether it is or isn't. The bible is very clear in it's instructions and God tells us directly.

Check there and see what the Holy Spirit is showing you.

When are we going to do this?

Jesus had no prerequisites for Him to give His life for us and He did it with you on His mind.

When are we going to learn from Him and start loving one another as we love ourselves?

What are you living for? Who are you living for?

There are things the bible teaches us to do besides our main calling. What are they?
