This evening on Legal matters we look at father’s right to get access/custody to their children and this is sparked by the recent case of Pastor Mboro’s son forcefully taking his kids from their primary school. On Monday morning, 7th August 2024, Mboro, his son and his bodyguard went to Matshediso Primary School in Ekurhuleni wielding a rifle and pangas, intimidating teachers and traumatising learners. The pastor is involved in an ongoing custody dispute, which is proving to be messy, after the mother of the children died earlier this year. It’s been reported that Mboro covered some of the funeral costs. Joining us to talk about father’s right to get access/custody to their children we’re joined by Claire Thomson, an attorney in private practice at Witz Inc Attorneys in Johannesburg.
