Spinal cord injuries cause

Melanie is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and an attorney with her own law practice in Irvine, California in which she focuses on legal and business issues that affect physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health care providers as well as representing them before their respective Boards. This includes advising health care providers on the legal aspects of starting their own practice, no matter what the specialty area.

Melanie has set up businesses for over 250 RNs and NPs and lectures nationally on this subject. She also writes articles for Journal for Nurse Practitioners, The Nurse Practitioner and Medscape. Melanie is counsel for the California Association for Nurse Practitioners.

She is Past President of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys, Past President of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, and Past President of the California Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Melanie also continues to practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the Laguna Beach Community Clinic.

It was a beautiful South Florida day – clear skies, light wind. Our older son, who lives in India, was staying with us for a few precious days. As I thought about the fun things I could do with him while he was here, I decided to arrange for us to go sailing. I’d never been on a sail boat and thought it would be a treat for both of us. What I did not expect was the amount of time I spent listening.

The captain took us into a beautiful unspoiled harbor. We were on the only boat in the harbor and had freedom to go where we wanted. Shortly after we left the dock the captain started talking, and talking, and talking. And we kept listening.

David Kempston graduated from the University of MN law school in 1992 (Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif), He has spent over 26 years as a litigator. David has tried over 400 cases. 

He has been voted a Super Lawyer every year since 2000 and also was recently named the 2017 Anoka County lawyer of the year. He frequently lectures on the MN Worker’s Compensation Statute and is a co-contributing author to a chapter in the MN Worker’s Compensation Deskbook (chapter 7). When not lawyering, he likes to read, run and snowboard—and to spend time with his 4 kids and 2 grandkids.

am in the process of finishing ghostwriting a book with an author whose

childhood in a very rough part of Chicago exposed him to a variety of traumatic

experiences. Against all odds, he escaped the environment and made a huge

success of himself. Why he succeeded when so many of his classmates and family

With over 30 years in private practice specializing in childhood domestic violence, abuse, and trauma, Dr. Olson has a dual masters in clinical social work and also clinical psychology from the University of Iowa. She also holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. Her post-doctoral work has focused on developing treatment programs for those who experience CDV and also struggle with its impact.
