The Talking SANFL Show with Bevo and Smurf aka Steve Murphy is now officially up and running and what a great show to kick things off!

We chatted to two-time Sturt Football Club Inc. - SANFL premiership skipper and all round nice guy, Zane Kirkwood, we wrapped a big round five of the SANFL men's competition and round nine of the SANFL women's and we discussed a couple of mature aged SANFL stars that the AFL scouts might be looking at.

What a way to kick off our new SANFL Show than a chat with one of the SANFL's best ever footballers, Zane has been a premiership skipper in his team's 2016 and 2017 victories, won two Magareys and played state footy as well, he's done it all.

We spoke about Zane's interesting music taste, the charity walk/run/skate that he did last year to raise money for mental health, his funniest team mates at the club and his thoughts on the SANFL season so far this year.

Warning this interview talks about drug use and a few f-bombs are dropped.  

It's a very interesting chat as Bevo and Jordan Biggie Steffens are joined by social media sensation and comedian, Lance Simon. Lance opens up about life behind bars and drug addiction and how he's turned his life around.  

We also talk about Lance's famous wife, Zarah Garde-Wilson and the great work she's done with police corruption as well as their relationship and how they met.  Lance also discusses what it was like to interview Roberta Williams and he gives his thoughts on media scare tactics regarding Covid-19.

Bevo and Biggie really enjoyed having a chat this week to former Melbourne Football Club, Victorian Cricket Team and Melbourne Renegades cricketer.

We spoke about the battles that Guy faced during this career as an elite level cricketer and footballer and how he overcame them, his thoughts on the footy season so far, the fastest bowlers he faced in cricket, funny team mates and his wonderful new podcast called

It was really interesting speaking to Mark Reidy from Invictus Pathway Programs who is doing great things in his role.

Mark spoke about what it was like to meet Prince Harry, more about his current role, who can be involved the Invictus Games and plans going forward post Covid-19.

In this episode, Bevo and Biggie are joined by larger than life character, Ollie Geale. Ollie is a former Channel Nine Adelaide TV presenter and BT/Optus Sport Host in the UK.  

Ollie is doing great things over in the UK with promoting AFL and he told us what he's been up to recently, we also spoke about Ollie's journey so far and how he's coping with Covid-19 over there.

It was a great joy to catch up with the man they call Olly, who has been a part of the Southport Surf Life Saving for an amazing 55 years.

Olly told some great stories about some of the characters at the club that he's met over the years, some of his greatest achievements, the biggest surf he's confronted and what makes Southport such a special club.
