Nafis Ricks is a mental health advocate. A former professional basketball player, who looks to bridge the gap between sports and community. Nafis's primary goal is to reconstruct the narrative surrounding Mental Health in the African American community, by providing tools through speaking engagements, workshops and seminars.

Crisis Screen-er for the State of New Jersey, behavior therapist, mobile therapist, national certified anger management specialist and treatment specialist supervisor for Ferrris School for Boys located in Wilmington, DE.  John is the former co-owner of Top Notch Profiles Magazine Inc. Owner and CEO of Hubstshirts.com and the Cameron Group. The Cameron Group provides mental health therapy and leadership development for boys and young men.

I interviewed life long Jersey City native, loving husband, and proud father of three exceptional children. As a child, Rashaun always wanted to help the community and protect. Rashaun is a member of the First Wesleyan Church and has been a treasure for 17 years. He started his career in law enforcement by working as a corrections officer at the Hudson County Corrections and Rehabilitation Center from 2012-2013, then was hired by the Jersey City Police Department in 2013. Rashaun joined BLESC (Blacks in Law Enforcement Servicing the Community) in 2014 and became Co-Vice President of the organization, where he and his fellow members mentor the youth of the city and all over the state with the mission to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. In 2018, Rashaun was promoted to Detective. In 2021, Rashaun was voted by his peers to become Co-Vice President of the Jersey City POBA (Police Officers Benevolent Association). Throughout his career, he has received several awards for community service and heroism in the December 10, 2019, terrorist attack in Jersey City.

Darnell Rice is a native of St. Louis, Missouri a social entrepreneur, sexual assault survivor speaker and mental health advocate, community organizer, disability rights advocate. Mr. Rice is passionate about students with and without disabilities. Mr. Rice is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Embrace Elevate Program Initiative which targets the communities of Color which includes students, black men and black boys. Mr. Rice has over ten years in Behavioral Health Sciences in Arkansas. Mr. Rice has overcome overwhelming odds as a student and a professional to fight for equal rights and justice. Mr. Rice is a Start Bloc Fellow in 2019 believes the students are the future and the next generation to be great and well-equipped for this world. Mr. Rice has higher education experience as a Coordinator and a College Professor. Mr. Rice taught at Shorter College on a Research Development Program The 2nd Chance Grant where he instructed students to use life skills and be better for society. Mr. Rice is very passionate about social issues and the social justice lens that affects the community.
