Equity equates to progress it’s a symbol value is being given to all no matter how they choose to identify.  An estimated 5.6 percent of Americans identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer, according to a new Gallup report. That’s up from 4.5 percent in 2017, the last year polling on the issue was conducted by the organization.  For Chris Angel Murphy,  (They/Them) it’s essential the LGBTQ+ community have full access to equity today.   (They/Them) a LGBTQ+ Trainer, speaker, and Consultant who:

•Consults and trains helping professionals, companies, and organizations on intersectional LGBTQ+ cultural responsiveness

•Curates national LGBTQ+ resources list

•Strategically co-produces resources and learning opportunities with other leaders and non-profits, including guides, webinars, lists, and online summits

•Designs online, self-guided learning opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community and those who want to better support them

Non-profits hold tremendous importance as it relates to preserving the viability of societal advantages for all people regardless of socioeconomic status.  No one knows this better than Karen Knight. She’s a consultant, volunteer leadership expert, and dynamic and engaging speaker. As District Director of Toastmasters International, Karen oversaw a budget of a quarter of a million dollars with twenty leaders reporting directly to her, and another eighty reporting to them. All volunteers. Karen currently serves as the Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association.  She joined me this week to dive into the state of Non-Profits and her work in the sector.

The number of graduating lawyers is on the decline according to  Statista.

The number of law graduates in the United States steadily declined between 2013 and 2019. As of 2020, 34,420 students graduated from law school in the United States. Perhaps one of the reasons why is the challenge of securing clients once you’ve thrown up your cap and are ready to start practicing law.

“ In 2015, I decided to quit my law firm job and start a virtual law firm.  Like most lawyers, I struggled to get clients consistently until I learned about funnels and built my first Legal Funnel that changed my law firm and life forever. American democracy is in a fragile state.  One year after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Americans are deeply pessimistic about the future of democracy. the partisan divide runs deep and could have devastating consequences if swift action isn’t taken to protect the right to vote.

A new NPR/Ipsos poll finds that 64% of Americans believe U.S. democracy is "in crisis and at risk of failing." That sentiment is felt most acutely by Republicans: Two-thirds of GOP respondents agree with the verifiably false claim that "voter fraud helped Joe Biden win the 2020 election" — a key pillar of the "Big Lie" that the election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.

Fewer than half of Republicans say they are willing to accept the results of the 2020 election — a number that has remained virtually unchanged since NPR asked the same question last January.    This is a watershed and consequential moment in history the right to vote and have your voice heard is on the line.

Strong homebuyer demand and limited housing supply led to median sales prices rising for existing single-family homes in all but one of 183 measured markets in the third quarter of 2021.

This is according to the latest quarterly report from the National Association of Realtors®, which found that 78% of 183 markets experienced double-digit year-over-year price increases, fewer than in the prior quarter (94%). Three metro areas saw price gains of over 30% from one year ago, also fewer than the number in the previous quarter (12).1
