  • We Are Leaving Melbourne!
The title of the podcast likely gives you a very good idea on what it is about, but it is fair to say that I won't be talking about fat loss, calories, protein or anything to do with fasting this week.
Amy just found out that she has gotten a new job and it means we are packing up our lives and leaving Melbourne.
While it's been a REALLY tough year and this TERRIBLE COVID virus has ruined lives, businesses and economies around the world, for our family, it has been a blessing in disguise.
I have been able to move most of my business online which has given me the flexibility to do it from anywhere in the world and allowed Amy to entertain the thought of getting back into the Geology and Mining field that she loves soo very much.
We thought we would share this moment in time by talking about what the job is, where we will be moving to and what we believe it will mean for our little family of 4 plus the dog.
Should it be of interest to you and you want to find out more, click that link below, have a listen and let us know what you think!
Whatever happens, we are excited for the change and can not wait to document the journey and bring you along for that ride!

  • Fat Burning Zone... Fact or Myth??
A common thing to hear around gyms or running circles many years ago and still to this day (albeit far less common these days), is this idea around a magical "Fat Burning Zone".
The body has a number of energy systems that it draws on to help fuel your body during everyday movement, as well as intentional exercise.
At lower intensities, the body has more time to process its fuel and shuttle it to the working muscles and it was this that "fueled" (pardon the pun) the idea that telling people to work at lower intensities would help to see them lose more fat during their workouts and exercise.
In this weeks episode we talk in more detail about this idea and whether there is any truth to it or if it is a complete myth and what you can do to tailor your exercise to best suit your goals.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you did and haven't already, please go and give the podcast a quick review and 5 star rating as it would mean the world to me and then DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to make sure you never miss an episode!!!

  • From Struggles to Success with Personal Trainer Drew Westfield
On this week's episode of the Let's Talk Fast podcast, I had the opportunity to speak with personal trainer and business owner of Gript gym, Drew Westfield.
Drew opens up about the struggles he has gone through over the years from battling depression over the death of his brother and the physical health struggles he has gone through from working a job that bought him no joy or passion to his life.
We talk at length about his journey into the health and fitness world and what fitness truly means to him and WHY he created Gript and WHY he did everything he could to open up an open air gym on the top of a car park in Melbourne during the midst of one of the worlds longest and most strict lock downs.
Drew is a fascinating and driven human being and I had a great time chatting to him and I hope by bringing you his story and the story of Gript, that it may help you take the action required to take control of your life and come through whatever struggles you may be going through to living your BEST life.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you did and haven't already, please go and give the podcast a quick review and 5 star rating as it would mean the world to me and then DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to make sure you never miss an episode!!!

  • Talking Eating Disorders, Body Image and Self-Love with Nicole Renard
Nicole Renard grew up as a competitive dancer with the hopes to become a Broadway star and spent most of her childhood years and life in this world, training 10-20 hours a week and becoming immersed in a world that would judge her on the way she looked and how she performed.
Her older sister was also a dancer and was someone that Nicole looked up to and always wanted to emulate. Nicole's sister then shared with the family that she had been dealing with an eating disorder and this rocked Nicole's world and in the years that followed, Nicole found herself feeling alone and a need to hide her own struggles with body image, self-love and a want to always be "perfect"
After a year living in New Zealand and having to fit in with a bunch of new people that had no idea who she was and make friends with these people, she realised that acceptance from these people came about because of the person she was, not for what she had done or achieved in her life.
This stirred a passion in Nicole to share her story with the world and open up with her struggles with body image, eating disorders and feelings of worth and today she is an energetic and fun human being who uses her platform to spread a message of hope, positivity and self-love and I really hope you enjoy this week's podcast and the gold nuggets you will find within our chat.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you did and haven't already, please go and give the podcast a quick review and 5 star rating as it would mean the world to me and then DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to make sure you never miss an episode!!!

  • How To Navigate Mental Health Struggles In An Ever Increasing Stressful World with Dr Kieran Kennedy
On this week's episode of the Let's Talk Fast podcast, I am very lucky to be able to speak with Dr Kieran Kennedy who is a doctor, mental health advocate, writer and speaker who is passionate about health, fitness and breaking down the barriers to our overall wellbeing.
As a self-proclaimed gym nut as well as a doctor working in psychiatry, Kieran sees first-hand the importance in advocating for mental health along with physical health to combine a well-balanced approach to health for both the physical and mental space of our lives.
Mental health struggles have always been a cause for worldwide illness, however in the past few years, and especially in the past 12 months with COVID, mental health has become one of the leading causes to chronic health issues.
In this episode Kieran talks in detail about the current state of affairs and how COVID has played a large role in the rise of people suffering from anxiety, depression and other mental health related issues and what he believes are the KEY actions you can take to help yourself navigate through these challenging times to see you live your best life.
Kieran is a WEALTH of knowledge and is part of a growing move from the younger medical fraternity, who place a focus on working towards a health solution as a collaborative effort rather than a doctor centered approach.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you did and haven't already, please go and give the podcast a quick review and 5 star rating as it would mean the world to me and then DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to make sure you never miss an episode!!!

  • Pulling Back The Curtain on The Real No Breakfast Guy
    Episode 100 is HERE!!!
I speak to a long time client, friend, business mentor and person who likely knows me better than I know myself and what I thought was going to be a conversation about the world we know and how it has changed since I had Patrick on my very FIRST podcast in June of 2017, turned into Patrick turning it into an interview on me!
Patrick has never shied away from asking me the hard questions that have forced me to think about life, love, business and my vision of the world around me and this podcast is no exception.
I was in the hot seat on many occasions and I did my very best to be as open, honest and raw as I possibly could be, to give you the most open and deep look into WHO I truly am and whats behind the "persona" that I show to the world every day on my Instagram stories.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you did and haven't already, please go and give the podcast a quick review and 5 star rating as it would mean the world to me and then DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to make sure you never miss an episode!!!

In this weeks episode of Let's Talk Fast, I talk to Deano Gladstone, who is well known for his work as a lifeguard on Bondi Rescue, but is also a Personal Trainer, Wim Hof instructor, Yoga Teacher, Holistic Health Coach and a Bondi Lifeguard.

  • 5 Traits That The Most Successful People Have
I wrote an email to my email list last week and it had the title, "Success Leaves Clues" and it was one of the most positively responded to emails that I have written and so I thought, why not give a little more context and detail to that email by creating a podcast around the same topic.
I have been helping people change their habits, improve their health and live better lives for over 15 years and while I certainly don't have all of the answers, I have noticed a common theme amongst the clients that achieve their goals compared to those who don't.
I have spent in excess of 20,000 hours face to face with clients (both online and in person at my clinic) and I would like to share with you the top 5 traits or actions that my most successful clients exhibit.
Success comes in many forms and can range from finding balance in life to spend more time with family to running an internationally successful company to losing weight or focusing on running a marathon.
Those clients I have seen find most success and have achieved their goals, don't always have all 5 traits and I am not suggesting that if you tick off all 5 of these that it is a recipe for success.
HOWEVER, success leaves clues and if you have been struggling to find success on your fat loss journey, within your career or life in general and can't put a yes next to some or all of the points I mention in this podcast, then it might be time to take a look at what you are doing on a day to day basis and maybe look to make a change.
I hope you enjoy this weeks podcast and as always I hope it brings value to you and your life.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you did and haven't already, please go and give the podcast a quick review and 5 star rating as it would mean the world to me and then DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE to make sure you never miss an episode!!!
