For our second instalment of Women in Horror month, we decided to put ourselves through the infamously ultra-violent home invasion movie Inside. This unrelenting piece of French extremity goes way beyond any nightmares a woman who is expecting would ever dare to imagine... Heavily pregnant Sarah is pitted against a crazed attacker who is determined to take her almost born-child from her womb; and turn anybody who stands in her way into mincemeat...

"Before they make the hit, these gangsters shoot the shit!" This hilarious horror anthology, written and directed by Aaron Carter, is home to three unique and increasingly crazy stories, all tied up with a brilliant crime-drama main feature. 'Valkyrie's Bunker' talks killer Nazi's, 'Assacre' deals with killer chilli pepper's and 'Hog Hunters'... Well, that's something else altogether! You can watch it right now on Amazon. We HIGHLY recommend you do!

IT'S WOMEN OF HORROR MONTH! Just the perfect excuse that we shouldn't really have needed to spend a few episodes focusing on some female-fuelled horror. For our first instalment, we take a look at what has been tagged as the 'first Iranian vampire western'; and we can see why! This delightful neo-noir is a beautiful culmination of various genres, time eras and cultural landscapes, all masterfully handled by the talented Ana Lily Amirpour. It may teeter on the edge of being more dark-romance than the straight up horror we're used to, but  it's sinister themes and frightening execution made us certain it will fit right at home in our podcast canon, as well as being an excellent discussion piece in this most girl-powered of months!

This weeks Point.5.Productions brings us not one but TWO genres near and dear to Robbie's big ol' heart; found-footage AND anthology! Unlisted Owner, directed by and featuring Jed Brian, mashes up some classic horror signatures with wholly original twists to bring us three spooky stories for the price of one, all focused around one particular house... Welcome to LWH's second ever discussion episode! This week we debate what type of horror villain is the bestest and scariest of them all; human, monster, paranormal or something else all together? We had an excellent response from our lovely Twitter family and spend a good amount of time exploring what you all had to say. While Manny fights the corner of extra-terrestrial creatures from other dimensions and Rob stood his ground for powerful paranormal entities, Roo got overwhelming support from the poll results that say HUMANS are the real victorious villains...

OUROBOROS! I.e. the World Serpent that encircles the Earth and eats it's own tail, signifying the never-ending cycle of life, death, the beginning and the end of time... So. Fucking. METAL. This intriguing short from director David Teixeira is just as steeped in symbolic mysticism as it's name suggests, demanding more than a little brainpower to figure out what it all means... We can't lie to you guys, this week we take on another firm favourite of ours - the uncharacteristically heartwarming comedy-horror romp Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, which won our second ever #NotQuiteHorror poll. The overwhelming majority of hillbilly characters throughout horror history have been crazed murderous maniacs, but this hilarious 2010 outing delights in turning every killer hick stereotype directly on it's head for laughs - and gives us two of the most loveable protagonists in recent memory.

This week on #Point5Productions, we take on the new short from the filmmakers at Horror House Media who brought us Soundbite - the subversive retro slasher throwback Stalk. An unsuspecting woman walking alone at night is followed by a masked predator... sound familiar? Think again... this one has a trick or two up it's sleeve.
