With John on vacation, we pre-recorded a couple episodes this week, and they will be a little different format then you’re used to. Today we discuss how we feel about the “Metaverse” and basically a world that resembles the book and movie “Ready Player One”. We transition a bit into using the technology to prolong our existence, even if that means separating our mental state from our physical form. Finally we speak out what might happen if the tech becomes tired of taking our orders.

In today’s episode we discuss some peoples criticism of the expanded NBA playoff format, namely LeBron James and Masai Ujiri. We then take a look at the progress of the rebuild of the Raptors. We talk about Calvin Ridley’s 1 year suspension for gambling on football. We finish off by talking about AEW’s Sting and his wild three table breaking move at the age of 62!

Today’s episode, there isn’t a ton going on in the sports world right now with football being over and basketball and hockey getting ready for the final stretches of their regular season, unless we want to talk about how little is happening with the baseball labour situation which is boring af, so Dave opens up about a situation that’s been going on at work, and what role he plays in it and leadership in general. Then John breaks down UFC 272 and the beef between Covington and Masvidal. We finish with our grievances and gratitudes where Dave surprises us by actually having a gratitude prepared for once.

Thankfully Dave realized he is a MORON between recordings and turned John’s mic back on for the second episode. With John at full volume we discussed Dwayne Johnson being the saviour our world, and the XFL, needs. We then step into the arena of current events, and John educates us on the history behind the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Then we discuss the recent $24 million settlement between the USWNT and the US Soccer Federation. Then John amuses Dave by allowing him to ask a couple baseball related questions; Is wanting divisional realignment loser talk? Will anyone be punished for the obvious tampering that is clearly going on during the lock-out, or will MLB turn an blind eye just to get back to normal business? As we normally do on Thursday, we finish off with “Would You Rather?”

I would like to start by apologizing that John’s audio is so low, we were recording new intros before we started and I accidentally left his dial down for his mic, we were left with the decision of his audio being quiet, or trying to re-create the conversation we had which might have come off as awkward and forced, we opted for the quiet audio. In other news, today we speak about LeBron’s legacy, and if the decisions he’s made have ultimately helped or hurt how we remember him. Will everything end up working out in Kyrie’s favour, is he a sneaky genius? More news about the Brian Flores situation, it seems as though he decided to forego getting paid millions for the ability to tell his perspective about his time in Miami. Cardinals/Kyler drama turned out to be nothing. Dave got himself all jacked up for baseball season, but who knows when that’s going to start. And as always on Monday we finish with our grievances and gratitudes.

In today’s episode we discuss the no-name NBA hall of fame class for 2022, we compare MVP favourite Joel Embiid to 2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and wonder if they played the same amount of games, if we would basically look at them as equals. DeMar Derozan breaks one of Wilt Chamberlain’s records, and that leads us to marvel at his work ethic (personally and professionally) and to an interesting hypothetical. Matt Stafford laughs at a woman as she breaks her spine. Finally, Ryan from Paign Productions provides us with a very interesting “Would you rather?”

Dave’s 5 year old son has a run in with a Fox walking down their street. NBA trade deadline analysis, did the Raptors do alright, what do we thing of Harden/Simmons, and CJ McCollum leaving Portland. Whoopi Goldberg puts her foot in her mouth, and then makes room for the other one.  We then discuss the upcoming NBA trade deadline, and the Raptors role in it.
