Lexus is about to roll out its first handsfree driving technology called Teammate. It will debut on the Lexus LS 500h hybrid. Teammate advanced driving system uses cameras, radar, and lidar in combination with high resolution map data. Like General Motors’ Super Cruise and Ford’s Blue Cruise, it’s intended for highway use only. But Teammate is different and unlike a human co-pilot, it won’t take sips off your La Croix water.
