What happens when the party is over?
I remember one time after a two week party  I had thrown.
The let down after everyone left was totally depressing.
I was broke, hungover, and in trouble.
What happens after we have one of those really great times with God?
How do we live out the remainder of life once the initial party is over?

God gives us Himself when we invite Him into our lives.
We give Him all of who we are.
He, with us, become the internal strength necessary not only to withstand but to overcome any and all of life's external presures!
We can "make shalom" the atmosphere both in us and around us as we live life together with God and in loving unity with one another.
We don't have to try to double down and work harder at being good on our own.
We don't have to throw the towel in and try to fill ourselves up with sinful alternatives.
We can walk through the pressures of life together with Jesus because He has overcome the world!

Having pupose and clarity in life creates an atmosphere of confidence in and around us.
Uncertainty and lack of focus tend to lead to insecurity.
Having insecurity is like bleeding in the water that is surrounded by sharks.
There are people who prey upon insecure people.
They get a sense of power and control from using and abusing insecure people.
If you want to stop being used and abused the confidence that comes from following Jesus is like shark repellant.
Relationship with Jesus is the beginning point of being free from the complications produced by uncertainty and lack of focus in life.

Rejection and jealousy go hand in hand.
Jealous people are prone to reject others out of fear of being upstaged.
No matter how you slice it, the cuts of rejection still have the potential of hurting us inside.
Rejection isn't lethal... It just feels like it sometimes.
Jesus was and still is familiar with rejection.
Satan is jealous of Jesus.
Just because Jesus is God the Son risen  from the dead doesn't mean His feelings are still dead.... they rose from the dead with Him!
God feels things.
However, He knows how to navigate through things that we get hung up on.
He hurts... He just knows how to handle His hurt.
He can teach us to do the same... If we let Him!

Even to this day there are times when I feel lost in a crowd.
Crowds can take on a personality of their own and it's easy to get lost in it.
Jesus understands that very thing.
He places high value on you as an individual.
He understands your value not because you are your mother's child or a member of a group.
He loves you because of how He sees you for who you really are.
He sees you in relationship with Him for eternity!
Not like some fat, naked, baby with little wings and a small golden harp sitting on a cloud around an old man with a long white beard while lightning bolts are coming out of his mouth ready to fry people He doesn't like.
But, you having a real, loving relationship with Him, a loving God,
 He both forgave your sins and He set you free to love Him and others who are also in relationship with Him!.

We're back...  
Our caveat, "Betrayal", was an eye opening experience.
Check out the previous podcast episodes to help bring you up to speed if you've been away for a minute...
We're moving forward, once again,  in our look at walking with Jesus through the Gospel of Mark.
One element of this walk is to have wisdom.
One facet of wisdom is: "The ability to state the obvious."
Jesus obviously did and still does things that are different than how you and I are accustomed to doing things.
However, God is God and He is free to be God as long as He chooses (LoL).
We're goiung to find out a bit more concerning what our Heavenly Father is like by looking at and studying how His Son, Yeshua, "worked the Family business."

Some people are addicted to drugs/alcohol.
Some folks are addicted to being a manipulator and when necessary a betrayer.
Some folks are addicted to the identity of being a victim.
 Does it matter to know that you are not alone in your struggles in life.
Yes!
We all do more crazy stuff when we think we are a lost cause or the only one with this type of issue.

Nobody needed to tell me I needed help.
It didn't take too much intellect to see that I was a mess.
What do I do with all my mess?
Now that was a  whole different animal.
It takes true Wisdom to provide real solutions that actually work.
That's exactly when and where Jesus enters the scene...

I have wasted so much of my time trying to figure out why really bad things happen to me.
The question itself has caused me to be like a dog chaing it's tail or a monkey chasing the weasel.
Lengthy cycles of wasted energy and time... things just swirling around in my head.
Afraid to forgive and afraid to let go of the hurt.
I grew rather accustomed to letting hurt and anger be my protectors.
Until...
Until the love of Jesus Christ really broke through.
His love broke through my hard exterior and offered me real help, freedom, and a new, healthy way of Living...
That's some of the stuff found in this episode.
Take your seat buckles off and let go of the steering wheel cuz we're going for a ride!

It takes being able to see and IDENTIFY a problem to KNOW that it exists.
Knowledge.
Knowledge is important.
But, knowing is not enough at times.
It's a whole other thing to know what to do about it.
Where do I go and what do I do if I've been betrayed?
Where do I go and what do I do if I'm the betrayer?
WISDOM is the supreme aquisition in this situation.
Wisdom.
Wisdom is knowing where your destination and the insight involving the best way how to take ACTION and  to ultimately  get to the destination.
We need wisdom in knowing how to deal with betrayal.
