I've launched at least 30 offers over the last four years, and... some went better than others.

But, each time I made a mistake, I wrote it down and created a checklist for myself.

Today, I am sharing this *updated-and-improved* checklist with you.

In spring of this year, Google and Yahoo made significant changes to how they decide which emails to pass on to the recipients' inbox, spam folder, and even which emails to just delete.

Yep, if you get this wrong, many email service providers will straight up delete your email without letting the sender or the recipient know what they did.

Back in 2021, Apple introduced a change to how they process every email in Apple Mail.

To improve security and performance, they preload (aka open) the data from every email.

After September 2021, your open rates are inflated. Every email sent to someone who uses Apple Mail counts as an open (even though they may or may not have actually read it).

I have a client who saw her open rates double in 1 month.

But! 

All is not lost.

In September 2023, an updated version of iOS made a major change to which new podcast episodes will be downloaded.

Short story? Downloads dropped a ton (more drastically for established podcasters) across the board.

This episode is about what to do in that case and the next time something goes wrong.

I first implemented a dashboard for a client 4 years ago.

I included all the important metrics I could think of. There were about 30, and it took me 1.5 hours to populate it every month.

I wanted to keep track of everything that could possibly affect revenue. When revenue went up or down, I would be able to look at the rest of the business, see what moved and *boom* that would be my answer.

4 years later, I have narrowed those 30 metrics down to 8.

I've included them in a free dashboard that you can download.

I can now get all the data in 15 minutes, and I can still see the primary metrics in this client's business that usually result in changes in revenue.

It's short as it only contains reminders from things that have gone wrong. It's not a step by-step guide.
