Life is Funny

This week, the guys saw COVID-19 get in the way of their plans and planning. Evan is jobless after a hectic week and Josh is figuring out wedding planning while getting tired of living in a pandemic. Like most of the world, now isn't an ideal time for the guys. Whether it's wedding planning, job searching, moving siblings into school, or whatever else, there's a lot going on. Fortunately though, there's still significant others, friends, family, and "sticking it to the man" opportunities to brighten up their weeks! Listen to the very end for a Fact of the Week too.

This week, the guys had a big week! In a week that could've marked the guys moving to two new states, only 50% of the podcast actually achieved liftoff. Find out what happened to Evan and Josh this week! The guys talk about being known and how that works, especially when they're at home. Do they like it when people know them as regulars? Is that too much social pressure? Does Evan remember too many awkward moments from his past? These questions will be answered (mostly)! There's some "sticking it to the man" tidbits and a Fact of the Week as always too.

This week, it's freakin' SHARK WEEK!! We're pumped for a week filled with sharks, as always, but this episode has a different force of nature threatening to take a chunk out of the podcast. After a week off from recording, there's a lot for the guys to talk about. Are Josh and Evan both moving after this episode? Does Josh remember anything? Can Josh outrun a hurricane? This week, the guys say goodbye to Bloomington, Indiana. After hanging out over the weekend to have one last hurrah in the guys' college home, Evan sits down to record his last episode in Bloomington before moving out. Josh and Evan dig into the topics of friendship, memories, and reminiscing, and they try to figure out what it means to have a lasting friendship/relationship. The guys also talk a little bit about love, even if love isn't a language they know all that well. There's also a "sticking it to the man" tidbit in there and a Fact of the Week like always.

This week, the guys talk about some of the expensive parts of life. Whether it's something smaller like a pair of headphones or an Xbox controller that need replaced, or something more substantial like a car or a place to live, life is expensive! Josh and Evan both have things in their life that are kind of unexpected and annoying costs, but fortunately they know that's how life goes. The guys also talk about how being smart with your purchases can set you up for bigger and better ones down the road, even though they're not financial experts. As always, keep an ear out for a Fact of the Week, and listen to hear how "sticking it to the man" is about to become more challenging!

This week, the guys talk about the world ending. Somehow the topic of discussion gets really depressing, and at some point it doesn't look like things are gonna turn around. Josh and Evan talk about whether we'd know if the world was about to end, how that might happen, and what that might look like. Eventually the conversation takes a turn for the better and the guys talk about getting gifts, how it's good to remove expectations, and how to "stick it to the man." There's also a Fact of the Week snuck in there, and hopefully a high note or two to end on.

This week, the guys get patriotic. They talk about the 4th of July and how it's kind of a weird holiday, even though it's Josh's favorite. Does anybody know when Canada's independence day is? Is America too selfish? Do the guys know anything other than English? All these questions and more will be answered. Evan also brings up a busy week of "sticking it to the man," and this week the man sticks back. Josh listens and laughs at Evan's misfortune, and thanks for doing the same! They guys also wind up talking about robot dogs in a conversation that sounds like the plot of an episode of "Black Mirror." Will robots and AI take over, how quickly does/will technology move, and will the guys live to see it? They may not have all the answers, but that's never stopped them from talking about it before! This week, Evan has BIG news! In what amounts to a life-changing decision, Evan shares with Josh and the listeners what went into his decision-making process. The guys talk about the future, making life decisions, and what the next couple years could look like. Josh and Evan also share some fun recaps of their weeks, both guys come in with some solid "sticking it to the man" ideas, and there's a number of Fact of the Week tidbits to boot!

This week, Josh and Evan talk cheddar. Not cheddar of the cheese variety, but of the money variety. The guys discuss their personal relationships with money, how they spend and/or don't spend their money, and how money plays a part in their lives. Money kind of runs the world, so they know it's a big part of everyone's life whether you like it or not. Before the money talk, the guys have some fun stuff to recap after getting to enjoy some back-to-normal type activities. The guys also share some pretty cool "Fact of the Week" tidbits, and they share one of their best "sticking it to the man" examples yet!
