The winter solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year, and marks the beginning of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. It occurs when the North Pole is tilted furthest away from the sun, resulting in the sun appears at its lowest point in the sky and the shortest amount of daylight. The winter solstice usually takes place around December 21st or 22nd, but the exact date can vary from year to year.  The winter solstice has been celebrated for centuries by cultures around the world as a time of renewal and celebration. Many people mark the occasion by lighting candles, decorating their homes with lights and evergreen plants, and gathering with friends and family to celebrate the return of the sun. In some traditions, the winter solstice is seen as a time to honor ancestors and reflect on the past year, while in others, it is seen as a time to look towards the future with hope and optimism.

The energy of fall is all about change and balance, an invitation to take a moment and slow down. A time to reflect, re-evaluate, and nurture ourselves. We begin to take from fall, one of our greatest lessons – letting go. The trees leave transition into beautiful colors and eventually, one by one begin to fall.

In the fog, we get uncertain about what we need to project or deliver. But going within helps us in delivering our soul essence. We are born not to be perfect but to grow and evolve.

In my 1:1 session, I do notice the patterns where we are feeling overwhelmed and have too many activities to run behind. And after a calming Reiki session or an Akashic Records session you will notice a regain of strength and rearrange the diary to suit the best our needs now.

Most of our psychological issues start at a young age. Cutting the cords and healing that child in us can help begin to journey to a new us. Circumstances can’t be changed but acceptance and forgiveness work wonders to be able to move forward. 

Make the child comfortable and confront it to make issues come to the surface. Be gentle in the process of letting this child out. Anything that helps me in the process is also a way of making time for myself.

There can be many reasons why we hide our inner child. But not everyone goes through life hiding their inner child. As Louise Hay says, ‘It doesn’t matter how old you are, there is a little child within who needs love and acceptance.’

Learning to love yourself will help in healing the inner child. Self-awareness toward the inner child is a priority for our progress.
