On Australia Fires: Bible, As Always, Is The Answer

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and LIberty Minute. Ecofascists believe man’s presence should be removed from the environment. As Gaia worshipers, they believe any human impact on the environment is blasphemy. But the Bible says man is God’s vice-regent over all creation, and responsible to steward its resources. In Genesis, God says, “Be fruitful, and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over every living thing.” In Australia, When an electric company without permission cleared a 200-foot-wide firebreak to protect high-voltage lines, the utility was fined $1 million. But when a fire swept through the region, that firebreak was the only safe haven for kangaroos, wallabies and three forest workers. Australia is aflame because man has not been allowed to exercise his proper stewardship. As always, the Bible is not the problem, it is the solution.

When God Shuts A Door

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. “Paul and Silas went through Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia...they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.” This must have been extremely puzzling to Paul and Silas. They wanted to do a good thing, preach the word in what is now Turkey, but Jesus would not permit them to do it. He shut the door right in their faces. But then Paul received a vision in the night, a man of Macedonia calling him to come to Philippi, and suddenly they understood. They had in mind preaching the gospel to new cities, God said I want you to preach my word in a whole new continent. And so the gospel went to Europe for the first time. God often directs our path by closing doors in one direction, only to open them in another. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Australia’s Fires Were Not Caused By Global Warming

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Eco-warriors have been quick to blame Australia’s catastrophic wildfires on global warming. They are wrong. Politicians caused these fires, not the climate. Government decisions have turned big fires into hellish conflagrations. Prescribed burns, which reduce the fuel load for fires, have been outlawed in Australia for decades. As a result, the fuel load in Australia was as at its most dangerous level in thousands of years. Because of prescribed burns, there was very little wildfire activity from 1965 until 1985. But as eco-warriors suppressed the use of prescribed burns, wildfires returned in increasing intensity until the entire country seems to be on fire. Logging and grazing restrictions on public lands also increased the fuel load. Bottom line: in Australia’s wildfires, global warming is not the culprit. Man is.

Obama Paid For The Missiles That Iran Is Shooting At Us

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Before Barack Obama came along, sanctions had been imposed on Iran that froze over one hundred and fifty billion dollars Iran was keeping in American banks. President Obama unfroze that money, and flew an additional two billion dollars in cash to Iran as a ransom payment. His administration even admitted there was no guarantee that Iran would not use the money to commit acts of terror against the United States. This means that Barack Obama in essence paid for the missiles that Iran is raining down on American soldiers. Where Obama drew a redline and then ignored it, President Trump drew a red line and enforced it, by killing enemy combatant and terrorist General Qassem Soleimani. President Obama sent the bad guy money, President Trump took the bad guy out. I’m with President Trump on this one.

The Hidden Horror Of Homosexuality: Rape

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. One of the hidden horrors of homosexuality is male on male sexual assault, which is now reaching devastating proportions in the military since homosexuals have been able to openly serve. According to the Department of Defense, 7500 male soldiers were sexually assaulted in 2018, up by thirty-eight percent over the last two years. And because males are reluctant to admit they’ve been assaulted the problem is actually far worse. It’s likely that homosexual rape is now responsible for 42% of the overall victims of sexual assault in the military. It is so damaging that the military now believes that sexual assault might be more likely to cause PTSD than combat. When the Bible says it is an abomination for a man to lie with a male as with a woman, it knows exactly what it’s talking about.

The Biblical Case For Taking Out Soleimani

Bryan Fischer with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. When the nation of Israel faced off against its sworn enemy the Philistines the issue was settled when David took down one man. The inspirational leader of the Philistine people was Goliath, their most renowned warrior and a national hero. Instead of waging conventional war, David settled things for the moment when he hit Goliath in the head with a rock. The Philistines scattered, the war was over for the moment, and thousands of lives were saved from death on the battlefield. The killing of Iran’s general Soleimani may not have exactly the same effect in our battle with Iran, an enemy that is determined to destroy us, but it has certainly deprived Iran of an iconic and very effective military leader. Lives will be saved, and the president is to be praised for neutralizing a threat who has been on our terror threat list for many years.

The prophecy that Jesus would be raised from the dead

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Our faith is not, as our adversaries say, a blind, subjective leap into some irrational abyss. No, our faith is rooted in the stubborn, historical fact of the resurrection of Christ from the dead. More than 500 people saw him alive after they had seen him die. The saw him with their own eyes, they heard him with their own ears, and they touched him with their own hands. In Psalm 16 we are told “You will not allow your Holy One to see corruption.” The Jews had been around dead bodies for thousands of years, and they knew that the visible signs of decay appeared on the fourth day. So if God’s holy one was not to see corruption, his body would need to be raised from the dead no later than the third day. That is exactly what happened. And that is the rock solid foundation on which our faith is built.

The Founders Were Christian Nationalists

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Regressives have demonized the word “nationalism,” as if there is something suspect about patriotism and love of country. But we should never forget that the Founders were Christian nationalists. They sought to build a nation on the truth claims of Christianity. Four times in the Declaration of Independence they refer to the God of the Bible. They believed that all of our fundamental civil rights come not from government but from God. In the First Amendment, they prohibited the federal government, including judges, from interfering with the free exercise of the Christian faith in any way. We are locked today in a fierce cultural civil war over the kind of nation we will be. In 2020, there is no room for the summer soldier or the sunshine patriot. Let’s put on the full armor of God and fulfill the vision of the Founding Fathers for our nation.
