Harvard and MIT admit: there is no gay gene

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The “born that way” crowd has been searching for a gay gene for over 30 years. Scientists from Harvard and MIT have now concluded it does not exist. After studying the entire genetic makeup of 409,000 people, they have concluded that the five main suspect genetic variants altogether account for less than 1% of same-sex behavior. As David Curtis of the UCL Genetics Institute says, “This study clearly shows that there is no such thing as a ‘gay gene.’” Homosexuals have been looking for something to excuse their non-normative sexual behavior, and had seized on genetics as the culprit. The reality is that the impulse to homosexuality is an impulse that can and must be resisted, like any other sexual temptation. And with the help of Jesus Christ and his sovereign power, it can be done.

Autistic 4-year-old kidnapped at gunpoint - by Texas

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Kidnapping used to be a capital crime in the United States, and should be again. Kidnapping is kidnapping even if it’s done by government under color of law. Drake is an autistic 4-year-old with severe medical issues who is being raised by loving parents. When a doctor’s treatment nearly caused their son to choke to death, they requested the insertion of a feeding tube. Instead of granting the parents’ request, the hospital referred them to child protective services which showed up with armed police and forcibly removed Drake from the only home he has ever known. And the judge told the parents if they talk to the media, they will be thrown in jail. Both the Bible and the Supreme Court declare that directing a child’s upbringing is the responsibility of parents, not the government. Somebody needs to tell that to the state of Texas.

Everything you’d heard about the Amazon is wrong

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Everything you’ve heard about the fires in the Amazon is wrong. The jungle is not on fire. The fires are from farmers who are burning their fields to prepare them for the next growing season. The land they are burning has already been cleared. Second, according to NASA, the number of fires is about normal for this time of year. Third, the Amazon forests are not the lungs of the earth - the Amazon absorbs all the oxygen it produces. Fourth, because CO2 is not a pollutant but plant food, more and more of the earth’s surface is greening up. There are more trees and vegetation now than there were 30 years ago. And last, the Amazon fires are not Donald Trump’s fault, even though enviro-extremists want you to think they are. Don’t let the Talking Snake Media lie to you. They are playing the uneducated American public for chumps. Don’t be a chump.

According to a poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, the commitment of the millennial generation to patriotism has dropped 9% in the last 20 years, support for religious faith has dropped 12%, and the importance of having children has fallen a whopping 16%. These are alarming trends. Another Scientist Rejects Darwinism!

Bryan Fischer with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Yale computer scientist David Galernter made news last week by rejecting the theory of evolution. It’s not that he converted to Christianity, but because science makes Darwinism impossible. The fossil record, he notes, is completely missing the transitional forms that show progress from one life form to an advanced one. “Most species,” he says, “enter the evolutionary order fully formed and depart unchanged.” He also observes that molecular biology demolishes the theory that genetic mutations can explain the increasing complexity of life. They can’t, because mutations are invariably fatal to organisms. Mutations don’t advance life, they kill it. So science cannot explain the appearance of advanced life forms or how one species can develop into another. It’s almost as if a sovereign, all-powerful Creator is responsible for the whole thing.

What Does The Constitution Say?

Bryan Fischer here with the Life and Liberty Minute. President Trump wants to get rid of birthright citizenship, which is only practiced by two countries in the entire civilized world. What does the constitution say? The 14th Amendment says the only people who are citizens of the United States at birth are those who are not, at the time they are born, subject to foreign jurisdiction. That’s why the children of diplomats are not citizens is they are born here. Because their parents are not subject to U.S. jurisdiction, neither are they. But this is true of every child born on our soil to an illegal alien. The parents are subject to the jurisdiction of a foreign country, which means their children are too. In simple terms, the child of an illegal is not a citizen by birth of the United States, any more than being born in a barn makes you a horse. [The president is right.]

Key to Upward Mobility: Intact, Two-Parent Homes

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. I’ve written the Boy To Man Book for fathers to help mentor their 12-year-old sons toward successful adulthood. So what’s the secret to upward mobility? Why is it limited in some places but not in others? A noted Stanford social scientist looked at neighborhoods all across America and found that high-opportunity places are characterized one trait above all others. The strongest correlation between neighborhoods that spawned upward mobility was found in the number of intact families. And he noted that upward mobility was strongly correlated with two parent families in the neighborhood, not necessarily in each home. In other words, intact-two parent families create an environment in which neighborhood children can succeed and prosper even if they have only one parent in the home. That’s called being salt and light.

Was The United States Founded On Racism?

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The New York Times spent the last two years trying to destroy President Trump through the hoax of his supposed collusion with Russia. Now it has turned all of its guns to the issue of racism. Just like with the Russia hoax, they will find racism where it does not even exist to convince gullible Americans that this nation is racist to its core. The Times is now trying to rewrite American history by saying our true founding was 400 years ago today, when the first slave ship landed at Jamestown. It’s true that slavery was our nation’s original sin. But while slavery is still practiced in the entire Muslim world, it has been made a crime in the entire Christian West. As Thomas Sowell said, the question is not why is there slavery but what brought slavery to an end. What brought it to an end was biblical Christianty. And that’s something to celebrate.

9th Circuit Delivers Huge Win For Religious Liberty

Bryan Fischer here with the Life and Liberty Minute. Donald Trump promised he would add constitutional originalists to the federal judiciary, and he is keeping his promise. The 9th Circuit is no longer a sure thing for the left. Last week, the Court slapped down Anchorage, Alaska because city officials sued a Christian-run women’s shelter because it turned away a guy claiming he was a woman who was six feet tall, had a full beard, and was wearing a night-gown. The 9th Circuit ruled that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 does not grant special rights to transvetites because the word “sex” in the statute is a reference to biological sex - male or female - and not to “gender,” which is all in your head. This illustrates the proper role of the judiciary which is not to make law but to apply law to cases that come before them. Judicial activism is finally being reined in, and that’s good news.
