Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. I am predicting today that Elizabeth Warren will be the Democrat nominee in 2020. The Talking Snake Media has already anointed her - you never read or hear critical profiles of her on liberal sites. The other Democrat candidates have significant liabilities. Biden is a gaffe machine, Sanders is an unelectable socialist, Kamala Harris put people in prison but Democrats want them all to be let out. Buttegieg has no support among blacks. But here is the clincher. Liz Warren is a woman. Democrats have been itching to put a woman in the White House, and it turns out that August 18, 2020 - which falls right in the middle of the presidential election campaign - is the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. Warren will ride that wave until the election. Get ready for a Trump-Warren shootout.

Is Josh Harris in eternal danger?

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Josh Harris of “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” fame has publicly declared his apostasy from the Christian faith. Said he, “By all the measurements that I have for defining a Christian, I am not a Christian.” Hebrews 6:4-6 issues a clear warning to us about those who walk with Christ for decades and then walk away. “It is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, to restore them again to repentance.” Some Christians believe it is impossible to forfeit your salvation. Some Christians think the tailgate is up and you can’t jump out, others believe the tailgate is down and you can. Either way the lesson for us is to ride as close to the cab as we can.

Is “Fredo” The N-Word For Italians?

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was caught on video threatening to throw a Trump supporter down a flight of stairs in a tirade in which he used the F-word 25 times in about 60 seconds. If we had red flag laws in place, Cuomo would never be allowed to own a gun for the rest of his life. But his network is sticking by him. He was verbally assaulted, says CNN, and he simply defended himself. Hmmm. Why has CNN never used this same rationale to defend the President? The president never comes at anyone who had not attacked him first. Apparently for CNN, the right of self-defense belongs to everybody but President Trump. Fredo, as Italians have been quick to point out, is not a swear word, it’s just a name, but Chris Cuomo, like most regressive bullies in the Talking Snake Media, can dish it out but he can’t take it.

Jesus Divides Families, Just Like He Said

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Jesus once famously said, “Do not think I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.” Jesus’ point is simple: he is not only the dividing in human history, he is the dividing line in every family. Tragically, many Christians have found this to be true in today’s political climate. If we support a president who believes in the sanctity of life, in normative sexuality, and in secure borders, suddenly we become the enemy. Parents have even been disowned by children who have been brainwashed by the regressive left and the Talking Snake Media. But if our first allegiance is to Christ, this may be part of the cost of following him.

Rifles Are Not The Problem With Murder

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The weapon of choice for regressives to hate today is the AR-15 rifle. The problem is that it is nothing more than an ordinary sporting rifle used by most Americans for self-defense and hunting. While they look menacing, it’s only because they are dressed up to look like assault rifles. But they’re not. The AR in AR-15 does not stand for Assault Rifle, it stands for Armalite Rifle and fires the smallest caliber commonly fired by any rifle. No military on the planet has ever used an AR-15 in combat. It is NOT a military weapon. President Clinton engineered a ban on so-called assault weapons in 1994. Ten years later, the DOJ did an extensive study that indicated there is no evidence that the ban saved even a single life. For conservatives, it’s not truth over facts, it is truth and facts - especially when it comes to guns.

Banning Guns Won’t Stop Mass Murder

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Banning guns won’t stop mass murder because guns aren’t the problem, people are. While the left believes that guns are evil, they’re not, just inanimate objects which can be used for good or for evil. If every gun was confiscated today, mass murder would break out tomorrow. Mass murders have been committed with axes, hatchets, blunt objects, hanging, drowning, poison, poison gas, cigarette lighter fluid, camp-stove gas, kitchen knives, meat cleavers, bombs, explosives, cars and trucks, and airplanes. There are two things we can do. First, armor up to defend ourselves and our families. Even Jesus directed his disciples to buy swords for their own self-defense. And secondly, urge all America to recognize that sin is the problem and the only cure for that is Jesus Christ.

Guns Aren’t The Only Weapons Used In Mass Murder

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. For regressives, people are basically good but guns are inherently evil. For those with a bibilical worldview, people are inherently fallen and prone to evil, but a gun is just an inanimate object which can be used for evil purposes, such as committing mass murder, or for good purposes, such as defending yourself and your family from a mass murderer. For leftists, paradise is a world without guns. For Christians, paradise is a world without evil. The bottom line problem is not guns but the heart of man. The left will pass a flurry of laws designed to disarm the American people for our own good, but their laws are impotent against the evil that lurks in every human heart. To take care of that problem requires more than a law. It requires the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mass Shootings: Missing Dads Are The Problem

Dr. Wes Farrell points out in his book, The Boy Crisis, that 26 of the 27 mass shooters he studied had what he calls a “dad deficit.” They had no father at home to teach them how to channel their testosterone constructively. No dads to enforce boundaries in their lives, which teaches them to delay gratification and is a key to success in sports, school, and life. Denver Breaks God’s Law and Violates the Constitution on The Same Day

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Tom Messina has run a 24 hour diner for 20 years in Denver and was counting on the sale of the diner to finance his retirement. He’s already been offered $4.8 million for it. But the regressive busybodies in Denver could care less about his constitutional right to property and the pursuit of happiness. No, the diner was built in 1967 and is an example of something called Googie architecture (I never heard of it either) that regressives insist must be preserved. So they’re designating his restaurant as a historic landmark, which means he can’t sell it for anywhere near what it’s worth. This is theft, and theft, even under color of law, is still theft. So Denver broke the Ten Commandments, violated the Constitution, and stole a guy’s retirement all on the same day. Wonder what tomorrow holds?

No, It’s Not Trump’s Fault

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The nation is in shock over two mass shootings in America. The regressive left immediately laid all the blame on President Trump. But are they right? Of course not. The shooters and the shooters alone are to blame. After all, there are 330 million Americans who did not pick up rifles and go on shooting rampages over the weekend. The El Paso shooter made it clear that he developed the views that led him to mass violence well before President Trump ran for office. There never can be any excuse for a man taking the law into his own hands. And besides, if unhinged rhetoric is to blame for violence against the targets of rhetoric, the left will be to blame if somebody tries to get to the president. Will they accept the blame if that happens? If not, they should keep their rancid opinions to themselves.
