A recent Harvard study which followed 5000 young people for between 8 and 14 years found that those who had a spiritually rooted upbringing were much more likely to be healthier and happier in early adulthood than those who did not. Not only did they report higher life satisfaction positivity in their 20s, they were less likely to smoke, use drugs, or be depressed. They were 30% less likely to have become sexually active in adolescence, and 40% less likely to have a sexually transmitted disease. The key for millennials to being happier and healthier as adults is to have parents who root them and ground them in God and his Word. Winnable War: Millennial acceptance of LGBT in toxic decline

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. I tell my listening audience every day that we are fighting a winnable war. Here’s more proof. A new Harris Poll shows that millenials in America are becoming less and less accepting of the LGBT lifestyle every year. In 2016, 63% of Americans 18-34 considered themselves “allies” of the LGBT movement. That number fell to 53% in 2017, and plunged to 45% last year. The same is true about gay family members, gay teachers, and gay history lessons in school. The pro-homosexual CEO of Harris Poll says, “These numbers are very alarming.” I believe the reason is simple: millennials have had the gay agenda rammed down their throats their entire lives. But that means they have personally witnessed the pathologies that come with homosexuality. And it looks like they’ve seen enough.

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Back when I was fresh out of college, I played quite a bit of pickup basketball. One of the guys who was part of our crew was a missionary who had lived all over the world. We were talking one day about campus unrest and the students who blamed America for the world’s ills. He said to me, you know, I’ve noticed that the people who hate America haven’t lived anywhere else. Today’s Americans are the most privileged citizens in humastory, as America enjoys unparallelled prosperity and opportunity, and the finest Constitution in ihuman history. The lack of gratitude to God for what he has given us here is appalling. Now that liberty is something we must fight for and must defend every day, because there are people, even right among us, who want to take it away. So let’s enjoy our freedom, and protect it for everyone.

Nike put a Betsy Ross flag on a pair of shoes, and the Talking Snake Media went nuts, calling it a symbol of hate and comparing it to the swastika. What they didn’t tell you is that Betsy Ross was an abolitionist, a staunch Quaker from Philadelphia, who never owned a single slave, ever. They didn’t tell you the Betsy Ross was the first official flag of the United States of America. Nor did they tell you the flag was a symbol of unity, not slavery. The 13 stars in a circle represented that the 13 new states were part of one undivided nation. Nor did they tell you that many African-Americans fought for the flag in the war for independence, from Bunker Hill, the first battle of the war, to Yorktown, the last battle. The Betsy Ross flag was their flag too. And it still is.

Dads actually work more than Moms

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Dads are sometimes labeled as lazy couch hounds, but it turns out they don’t deserve to be. Researcher Robert VerBruggen looked at data surveys which track how we as Americans spend our days. Contrary to what many people think, VerBruggen found that adding up paid work, housework, child care, and even shopping dads do about 59 hours of work per week, while moms do about 55. Even when mom and dad both work outside the home, dads still work slightly more. Men do less work at home, but more on the job. The Bible says we can close our borders

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Regressive evangelicals seem to think the Bible is all about open borders. But it’s not. When Israel approached the Promised Land, Moses asked the kings of Edom and Moab for permission to pass through their territory on the way to Canaan, and was denied - twice. What did Moses do? Did he invade their land or sneak across their borders? No - the Bible says in Judges 11:18 he “went around the land of Moab and the land of Edom.” The Bible teaches us that borders around countries are God’s idea, not man’s, and are to be respected. When we protect our sovereign borders from an invasion of illegal aliens who enter without our permission, we are following the template laid down by God himself in his Word. There is nothing wrong and everything right about insisting that the people of other nations honor and respect our borders. And God agrees.

APA Wants To Normalize Polygamy

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The American Psychological Association, which used to be a professional organization, has turned its members into partisan hacks. While they once rightly considered homosexuality to be a form of mental illness, now they want to bring back polygamy and normalize people having sex with as many folks as they want. Their latest effort is to get rid of the stigma of what they call “consensual non-monogamy,” which is just gibberish for adultery. At the beginning of the gay marriage debate, we argued that if we accept sex between gays as okay, there is simply no place to stop. And we’re being proven right every day. The Republican Party was founded to oppose polygamy and slavery, which they called the twin relics of barbarism. Well, America fought off barbarism once, and it looks like we’re going to have to do it all over again.

On the Census, President Trump should ignore the Supreme Court

Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The Constitution is quite clear that the Census is to be done, and it is to be done not as the Supreme Court directs but as Congress directs. Well, Congress by law directs the Commerce Secretary to develop the questions that are part of the census. He’s done that, and he’s included a citizenship question. In fact, he’s using the same exact question Barack Obama used. The Constitution, on the other hand, gives the Supreme Court no role whatsoever in conducting the census. None. President Trump should ignore the Roberts’ court and simply direct the census to be done according to the provisions in the Constitution and the law. It is the Supreme Court that’s violating the Constitution and breaking the law, not President Trump. If the president ignores Justice Roberts and just follows the law, what can Justice Roberts do about it? Not a thing.
